Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants Program

The Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants Program is designed to provide funding for the maintenance and upgrade of existing infrastructure and the building, purchasing and construction of new infrastructure related to the running of an agricultural show on regional showgrounds.

Funding will be available to eligible regional show societies for the maintenance and upgrade of existing infrastructure and the building, purchase, rent or construction of new infrastructure related to the running of an agricultural show on regional showgrounds.

The objectives of the program are to help:

• keep agricultural shows running
• bring communities together
• bridge the divide between country and city.

Outcomes from the program are expected to include:

• improved amenity of showground infrastructure to improve the experience of showground users and visitors. The amenities can include but are not limited to, for example, new and/or improved exhibiting and seating facilities, upgrading existing buildings to meet contemporary accessibility standards, building new or upgrading existing roads and buildings.
• improved flexibility of use of showground infrastructure to increase the opportunity for it to be used for other events that bring the community together through the year.
• use of modern construction methods and materials that reduce on-going maintenance and repair of infrastructure.
• reduced operational costs for events conducted at and using showground facilities.
• greater variety of attractions to improve shows’ ability to attract visitors.

Local Sport Grant Program

The $4.6 million Local Sport Grant Program aims to increase regular and ongoing participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in NSW.Sport and active recreation is important, contributing significantly to our health, economy, social wellbeing and the livability of our cities and communities. The program supports the NSW Government’s commitment to enhance the quality of life of the people of NSW.

This year’s program has been established to:

• target opportunities specifically for women and girls
• target overall participation opportunities
• support local communities effected by drought.

The Local Sports Grant funding is available across all electorates in NSW, with $85,000 allocated to State Electorates in the Northern Inland, as they are identified as regional drought affected areas.

The overall objectives of the Program are to:

• Increase regular and on-going participation in sport or structured physical activity.
• Address barriers to participation in sport or structured physical activity.
• Assist sport clubs provide quality service to their members.
• Increase the number of well-managed facilities that meet the needs of users.

Acknowledges and supports the essential role women play in rural industries, businesses and communities. The Award provides a platform to inspire and support Australian women to use and develop their skills to benefit their industries and communities.

Australasian Reporting Awards

The Australasian Reporting Awards provide all organisations that produce an annual report an opportunity to benchmark their annual reports against the ARA criteria which are based on world best practice.

Before and After School Care Infrastructure Fund

Recreational Fishing Trusts

Be Connected - Building Digital Skills
