Business and infrastructure Funding Opportunities - October 2019

Would you like to receive this newsletter in your inbox each month?
Subscribe to our Business and Infrastructure Grants newsletter using the form at the bottom of this page!

Welcome to our Business and Infrastructure Funding Opportunities Newsletter where you will find details of selected grant submissions from around the region for Business and Infrastructure projects.

Due to the number of grants that are available, we now send two funding opportunities newsletters a month; one for Business and Infrastructure and another for Community Projects and Award Programs, rather than the one combined newsletter.

We wish you all the best with the Funding Opportunities below and if you are looking for a grant between newsletters, have a look at the grants area of our website which is updated weekly: www.rdani.org.au/our-region/grants-and-funding-opportunities.php

If you need some facts and figures for your applications, a range of data for our region is also available on our website here: www.rdani.org.au/our-region/regional-data.php

Please note the below information is intended as a guide only. Closing dates and details should be verified using the links provided as they are subject to change by the providers without notice.

Featured Grants

Fixing Country Roads
Closes: 31st of December 2019
Value: Unspecified
Run By: Transport for NSW

Fixing Country Roads is a $543 million NSW Government program providing targeted infrastructure funding from Restart NSW for regional freight projects. Applications for truck wash facilities can also be made through Fixing Country Roads. Local councils can apply to repair and upgrade Local and Regional roads to facilitate the movement of freight, to key freight hubs and State Roads.

Fixing Country Roads is divided into three streams– roads and bridges construction, bridge and route load assessments and truck washes. Application forms, mandatory documents and assessment criteria vary across each of the streams.

There is no set minimum or maximum funding amount for a single project, nor are there specific allocations for each stream. Applicants can apply for up to 100 per cent of the value of the project, but co-contributions from council, industry and Australian Government programs are strongly encouraged. This includes programs such as the Bridges Renewal Programme (BRP), the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Programme (HVSPP), or the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF). The NSW Government continually seeks to align assessment criteria and timing of Fixing Country Roads with these programmes.

There is no limit to how many applications each applicant can submit; however, applicants are advised to prioritise and put forward their most well developed projects, as Fixing Country Roads is a competitive program.
