Australian Tourism Data Warehouse

Grant Closes: Ongoing Value: Free Database and Website Listings Run By: Destination NSW Further Information: https://www.destinationnsw.com.au/destination-nsw-business-support/australian-tourism-data-warehouse-atdw

The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is Australia’s national tourism database, helping businesses showcase their products, services and experiences across a network of leading websites. ATDW profiles are available free to eligible NSW tourism businesses and events.

By creating an ATDW profile, your business information can be distributed to a range of national, state and local platforms, making it easier for travellers to discover and plan their visit.

Once you have successfully registered and entered your product details into the ATDW database, they will be reviewed to ensure they meet eligibility criteria.

The profile will then be available for publishing on a number of distributor websites, including:

  • visitnsw.com: Destination NSW’s official consumer website for NSW, attracting over 10 million visits a year.
  • sydney.com: Destination NSW’s official consumer website for Sydney, attracting over six million visits a year. This website also has market- and language-specific versions for the following countries: Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Germany, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Singapore.
  • australia.com: Tourism Australia’s official website, delivering information to customers worldwide and the primary call to action in Tourism Australia’s international tourism marketing and promotional activities.
  • Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW): A centralised database of more than 50,000 Australian tourism products and destinations, supplying NSW products to approved distributor websites.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, tourism products must be located in, or operate within, NSW and meet ATDW’s content and quality requirements. Tourism businesses must operate from a physical location or deliver an in-person visitor experience. Online-only businesses are not eligible.
