Women's Leadership and Development Program: Lead and Succeed

The Lead and Succeed grant opportunity will support projects that address the structural and systemic barriers that can impede women’s employment and progression into leadership, and create an environment for women to achieve professional success and be provided with more leadership roles. Projects will achieve tangible improvements in outcomes linked to the achievement of all, one, or a combination of the following key priority areas of the WLDP to increase and enhance:

• Women’s Leadership
• Women’s Workforce Participation
• Women’s Safety

Priority will be given to applications that deliver intersectional, tailored, culturally appropriate responses which address the multiple forms of structural and systemic disadvantage and inequality experienced by many women, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls; women with disability; culturally and linguistically diverse women; LGBTQI+ women; and older women. Each project needs to be tailored to ensure it is appropriate and meaningful for the people it aims to engage.

Projects that focus on and enable participation of women living in rural, regional and remote communities will also be prioritised.

Preference will be given to applications that demonstrate strong relationships with their target groups or communities, or partnerships with specialist organisations representing those groups or communities.
