Businesses can opt in to defer payroll tax payments on the 2020-21 annual reconciliation return and  tax payable on wages paid in July and August. Interest free repayment plans for up to 12 months will be available.

Eligible businesses can defer their 2020-21 payroll tax reconciliation that is normally due on the 28th of July. Businesses also have the option to defer payments due on 7 August and 7 September until 7 October 2022.

This program is available to all NSW businesses that are required to pay payroll tax.

After lodging their 2021 annual reconciliation, businesses will have the option of paying all of their outstanding liability in full or entering into a new Support Payment Arrangement.

If customers choose to enter into a 2021 Support Payment Arrangement, they will have the option to include tax payable from the 2020/21 annual reconciliation and any monthly liabilities for the July, August and September 2021 return periods
