Investing in Not-for-Profit Capacity in Regional NSW

This is a 12 month place-based program in three bushfire affected communities, including Glen Innes, Bega and Taree.

It aims to support the resourcing and capacity of grassroots not-for-profit organisations in these communities, helping them to respond and thrive in the face of current challenges.

Through the support of the Paul Ramsay Foundation, the program includes local workshops, grant funding, skill development and networking to help create local solutions to local issues.

Key activities that are included are:

• Online Workshops – held in each of the three communities to establish awareness of the program, promote the opportunity for one-off grants, and assess theme and focus of future local community workshops (e.g. skills and training, governance support, developing fundraising strategies or strategic plans).
• Capacity Building Grants – one-off grant support for not-for-profit organisations to increase resourcing and delivery capacity and strengthen their operations for the longer term.  
• Capacity Building Workshops – two per community, with each community to determine the themes / focus most valuable to them.
• Learning & Sharing – three Community NFP Insight Reports – a resource informed by the community, for the community, incorporating future priorities and directions.
