As part of the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund (BCRRF), Armidale Regional Council is offering not-for-profit organisations and community groups funding for community led-projects.

Not-for-profit organisations and community groups in the Armidale region are invited to submit applications for projects that contribute to the regions recovery following natural disaster events.

The aim of the BCRRF Community Grants Program is to:

  • Support communities overcome the social impacts of the bushfires from 31 August 2019 onwards.
  • Provide support for locally led community recovery and/or resilience activities.
  • Contribute to addressing the needs of vulnerable groups in disaster recovery.
  • Support community awareness of the disaster recovery processes.
  • Improve community capacity and capability to respond to future disasters.
  • Support the development of recovery initiatives or programs which demonstrate community cooperation between a number of local groups and organisations.
  • Provide seed-funding support for programs which have specific and long-lasting recovery and/or resilience benefits to the community.
  • Support one (or more) of the goals outlined in Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
