Community Connectivity Assistance Grants

The Community Connectivity Assistance Grants aim to provide financial assistance to community groups in the Armidale Regional Council area. It provides funding to purchase equipment, implement programs that increase communication capabilities, and facilitate and encourage communication between groups and organisations.

The grant aims to:

  • provide local not-for-profit community groups financial assistance to purchase equipment and/or implement programs that increase their communication capabilities. Examples of what may be considered include computers, audio visual equipment, satellite phones, UHF radios, etc.
  • Facilitate and encourage communication between groups and organisations within the Armidale Regional Council Local Government Area.
  • Support and or contribute towards the goals outlined in Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
  • Provide seed-funding for communications programs which have specific and long-lasting benefits to the Armidale region LGA community.
  • Foster access opportunities to all community groups.
  • Preference will be given to groups who service fire effected communities
