Wine Australia is inviting proposals to develop and deliver vineyard soil health extension resources that support grape growers to adopt sustainable soil management practices.

Building on the EcoVineyards program, Wine Australia has identified an opportunity to increase the awareness and adoption of best-practice soil health management outlined in the EcoVineyards Best Practice Management Guides (BPMG) it funded, covering chemical, physical and biological soil health.

The project will tailor and promote existing resources to reach a broader grape grower audience, using effective and innovative extension and learning approaches which are novel to the Australian wine sector, but have proven to work elsewhere.

The project aims to improve vineyard sustainability and business resilience, enhance soil and water outcomes, support biodiversity, and help growers transition to lower emissions practices aligned with the Emissions Reduction Roadmap.
