The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is committed to raising organisational standards so that all women can thrive and succeed in all workplaces within the sporting sector. They recognise that women from culturally and racially marginalised backgrounds, First Nations women, women with disability and gender diverse individuals have significantly lower representation in leadership roles in organisations big and small. To be truly representative of our communities, they need to support the sector with the planning, tools and capability uplift to ensure systemic barriers are removed and a culturally safe and inclusive environment is created.
Each organisation will have access to a pool of hours with subject matter experts. This time is intended to support organisations with implementation of their gender equity strategy and action plans to accelerate progress towards a more equitable, high performing workplace.
Assistance for organisations include:
- develop a clear, practical and motivating plan to accelerate gender equity, inclusion and high performance
