Disaster Assistance

Rural Aid offers pre-paid Visas to farmers who have been negatively impacted by a declared natural disaster or other exceptional industry-specific occurrence, to assist with recovery.

(NB applications will remain open for each recognised disaster for four months from the date of the disaster or until funding is exhausted)

Established in 2015, Rural Aid’s vision is to safeguard farming and rural communities before, during and after natural disasters. Rural Aid is also dedicated to supporting a stable future for our farmers to ensure they can keep providing food and fibre for all Australians.

They do this through various innovative programs which increase the resilience and sustainability of farmers, families and rural communities.
