National Disability Strategy - National Disability Conference Initiative

A new open competitive grant opportunity for the National Disability Strategy - National Disability Conference Initiative (NDS - NDCI) 2021-22 will be open for applications in late 2020.

The grant opportunity will consist of two discrete streams:

Stream 1: Disability Conferences Activity (DCA)

The DCA will be a continuation of the long standing NDCI program, providing grants of up to $10,000 to enable disability conference organisers to maximise the inclusion and participation of people with disability at their disability focused conferences.

Stream 2: Mainstream Conference Inclusion Activity (MCIA)

This is a new stream to provide grants of up to $10,000 to Disabled Peoples Organisations and Families Organisations (DPO/FOs) to collaborate with a mainstream conference organiser to ensure conference proceedings include a focus on people with disability. This could, for example, include conferences in fields such as: sport, tourism, arts, environment, technology/IT, employment, education, health, housing, transport, justice
