The WorkFoundations grant opportunity aims to fund social enterprises and businesses who can provide tailored, paid employment placements with integrated wrap around services for job seekers facing challenging barriers to employment.

This 2 year grant opportunity will fund paid employment pathways specifically designed to assist eligible job seekers who are not yet competitive in the open labour market and need additional services to enter (or re-enter) the workforce.

The objective of the WorkFoundations grant opportunity is to fund activities that:

  • assist job seekers with complex vocational and/or non-vocational barriers to build their work readiness in a nurturing work environment with tailored wrap around services to address their barriers to employment, while gaining real life experience in jobs that suit their skills, interests and needs and earning real wages.

To be eligible to apply for a grant, you must be one of the following entity types:

  • Company
  • Cooperative
  • Incorporated Association
  • Indigenous Corporation
  • Partnership
  • Person
  • Sole Trader
  • Statutory Entity

If you are applying as a Trustee on behalf of a Trust , the Trustee must be one of the eligible entity types as listed above.
