MVP Ventures is a competitive grant that helps businesses bring innovative products to market. It also attracts and keeps commercialisation activities in NSW.

Two funding streams are available for the 2025-2026 program and have been designed to reduce financial barriers and foster greater participation from under-represented groups.

To be eligible to apply, your business must:

  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • be headquartered in NSW
  • have an account with an Australian authorised deposit-taking institution
  • be a company incorporated in Australia under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth)
  • hold intellectual property (IP) or rights to commercialise
  • have an aggregated turnover of $400,000 or less in each of the three financial years prior to the lodgement of your application, and
  • have 10 or fewer Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees including founders.

In addition, you must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the funding stream you are applying for.

Stream 1

The grant amount for eligible businesses will be up to 50 percent of the Total Eligible Project Expenditure (grant percentage), with a:

  • minimum grant of $20,000
  • maximum grant of $50,000
  • minimum co-contribution of 50%.

Stream 2

If your business is:

  • Majority Women-owned and managed, or
  • Regionally Headquartered and operated, or
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander majority-owned and managed

A grant amount of up to 75% of the Total Eligible Project Expenditure (grant percentage) is available, with a:

  • minimum grant of $20,000
  • maximum grant of $75,000
  • minimum co-contribution of 25%.

The Direct Giving Program delivers targeted, practical financial relief to people experiencing immediate hardship across Australia. They work in close partnership with health professionals and community organisations to ensure support reaches those who need it most. Applications for up to $2,500 can be submitted by eligible representatives and, if approved, we fund the goods or services requested in the application via payment directly to the relevant supplier.

Who Can Apply.

Trusted social workers, case managers or allied health professionals working in public health or registered organisations in community support settings. The program has two streams with specific eligibility for applicants:

1.       Public Hospital and Health Setting Stream:

Open to health professionals working in public health settings nationwide. Eligible referrers include social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, clinical nurses, and allied health professionals submitting applications on behalf of their patients.

2.      Community and Charity Stream:

Open to social workers, case managers, and allied health professionals employed by ACNC registered charitable organisations submitting applications on behalf of their clients.

Unfortunately, they cannot accept direct applications from individuals or patients. If you are experiencing hardship, please speak with your caseworker, support worker, or health professional about accessing this program.

Client Eligibility Criteria

Eligible clients are:

  • Australian citizens or permanent residents,

  • Receiving case management from eligible organisations,

  • In financial distress, with no other funding options available (as assessed by qualified staff),

  • Not prior beneficiaries of The Hall Foundation (formerly The Walter & Eliza Hall Trust) funding.

What They Fund

They focus on urgent, essential needs that maintain safety, security, and wellbeing. Typical requests include:

  • Utility bills

  • White goods

  • Furniture

  • Accessibility equipment

  • Educational equipment

  • Minor health-related expenses

They may consider the following in exceptional circumstances:

  • Rent assistance

  • Accommodation for medical treatment

  • Removalist costs

  • Storage fees

  • Forensic cleans

  • Vehicle expenses

Community Living Supports (CLS) is a state-wide program that supports people with a severe mental illness to live and recover in the community in the way that they want to. CLS is part of a suite of community-based psychosocial programs for adults called the NSW Mental Health Community Living Programs. 

You may be eligible for CLS support if you:

  • are 16 years or older
  • have a diagnosis of a mental illness which causes you a lot of difficulties in your day to day life
  • want to receive help to develop and achieve your goals.

What types of supports are provided?

People receiving CLS supports will work with:

  • a support worker from a community organisation
  • a clinician of their choice or from a local mental health service, and
  • their family or other important people in their life to develop their own unique support plan.

CLS provides psychosocial supports that help people build independence in daily life and contribute to recovery. The types of support people receive depends on their individual needs and own unique goals for what they want to achieve. CLS helps people identify goals and work towards meeting those goals by providing support that may include: 

  • daily living skills like self care, shopping, looking after finances, cooking or catching public transport
  • referral to mental and physical health services where needed and support with mental and physical health appointments, medication management and other treatments
  • participating in social, leisure or sporting activities
  • building relationships with family, friends and the local communities
  • learning new skills
  • accessing education or help to get a job
  • help with finding and keeping housing including private or social/communitiy housing
  • moving back into the community from a hospital or a prison
  • accessing other supports like alcohol and other drugs services and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

National Energy Bill Relief for Small Businesses (2025-26) Grant Closes: 30th of June 2026 Value: Up to $150 Run By: NSW Government Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water Further Information: https://www.nsw.gov.au/grants-and-funding/national-energy-bill-relief-for-small-businesses-2025-26

Eligible NSW small businesses who are embedded network (on-supply) customers can apply for a National Energy Bill Relief payment of up to $150 in the 2025-26 financial year via this portal.  

Eligible small businesses who are retail customers will receive their Bill Relief payment automatically via their energy bills.

Your small business may be eligible if all the following apply: 

  • has not already received the National Energy Bill Relief payment for the small business's energy account in the 2025-2026 financial year
  • is in an embedded electricity network in NSW
  • has an electricity account in the name of the business with at least 90 days of metered electricity usage
  • uses less than 100 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity per year across all sites in NSW
  • has an active ABN.

If you operate your small business from your home or your small business is on a residential electricity plan, you are not eligible. Other exclusions may apply, for example post offices, government owned agencies, gas and water retailers, and telecommunications companies are also not eligible. Please read the Terms and Conditions for further information on eligibility.

Active and Creative Kids Vouchers - 2025 Grant Closes: 14th of July 2026 Value: $50 to $100 Run By: Service NSW Further Information: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-for-an-active-and-creative-kids-voucher

Parents, guardians and carers receiving Family Tax Benefit can apply for an Active and Creative Kids voucher for each eligible child.

The $50 voucher is available twice a year to use towards sport, creative and cultural activities.

  • Apply for and use the voucher by: 31 December 2025

Voucher 2 – 2025: Available now

  • Apply for and use the voucher by: 14 July 2026

Note:

  • Vouchers must be used with a registered activity provider.
  • If you have 2 vouchers that have not expired, you can use them together for a combined value of $100. Each voucher can only be used once.

SilverChef Community Grants Program Grant Closes: Ongoing Value: Up to $5,000 Run By: SilverChef Further Information: https://www.silverchef.com.au/pages/community-grants

Each quarter, SilverChef provides four grants, each worth $5,000, to community groups that use foodservice and hospitality to uplift the community. The grants comprise $3,750 credit to be spent on SilverChef’s Certified Used equipment range; with a balance of up to $1,250 that can be paid in cash, or allocated towards more equipment and/or freight costs.

The SilverChef Community Grants Program is open to eligible Australian community groups that use hospitality or food services to help disadvantaged or under-served members of their local community. 

These community groups can include:

  • Registered charities and not-for-profits
  • Social enterprises (direct-benefit, cross-subsidy or donation model)
  • Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Corporations (organisation with an ABN which uses more than 50% of its time and/or resources to improve the lives of Indigenous peoples)

Each quarter we award four grants of $5,000 each. The four funding rounds occur as follows:

Round 1: Applications open 1 July - 30 September

Round 2: Applications open 1 October - 31 December

Round 3: Applications open 1 January - 31 March

Round 4: Applications open 1 April - 30 June

The Ian Potter Foundation seeks to identify and support those organisations which have well thought out projects that seek to help vulnerable members of the community to overcome the challenging circumstances in which they find themselves.

The Community Wellbeing program seeks to fund initiatives delivered by organisations supporting people with disabilities, or otherwise marginalised individuals primarily with the objective to secure employment pathways.

Funding Objective

  • To improve circumstances for disadvantaged members of the community, this program area funds initiatives delivered by organisations supporting people with disabilities, or otherwise marginalised individuals primarily with the objective to secure employment pathways.

Application Process (2-stage)

Grant requests for this program area are considered via a two-stage Expression of Interest process.

If you are a first home buyer in NSW, you may be eligible for a full exemption or a reduced rate of transfer duty under the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme.

To be eligible for the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme:

  • the purchase must be for a new or existing home, or vacant land in NSW
  • the property value must be within the threshold amounts
  • the transfer must be for the whole property
  • you must be an individual, (not a company or trust*)
  • you must be over 18*
  • you and your spouse or partner, must never have owned or co-owned residential property in Australia
  • you and your spouse or partner, must never have previously received an exemption or concession under the scheme
  • at least one of the first home buyers must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • for new or existing homes, you must meet the requirements for living in the property.

*This requirement may be waived upon application. Contact Revenue NSW for more information.

Motor Vehicle Duty Relief Grant Closes: Ongoing Run By: NSW Government Department of Revenue Further Information: https://www.revenue.nsw.gov.au/taxes-duties-levies-royalties/motor-vehicle-duty/relief

If your motor vehicle was destroyed in a declared natural disaster, the NSW government may be able to refund any motor vehicle duty you pay on a replacement vehicle.

They may also be able to:

  • give you more time to lodge any documents or returns
  • defer enforcing any fines against you
  • extend your payment deadlines
  • agree not to charge you interest
  • arrange for you to pay any debts to us in instalments.

You may be eligible for a motor vehicle duty refund if:

  • your vehicle was destroyed in a declared NSW Severe Weather and Flooding Event in the specified period, and
  • you paid duty on a replacement vehicle, and
  • your insurance did not cover the duty for a replacement vehicle (if your destroyed vehicle was comprehensively insured).

The NSW Seniors Energy Rebate is available for eligible self-funded retirees to help cover the cost of their electricity. Gas accounts are not included.

To be eligible you must:

  • be a self-funded retiree living in NSW
  • hold a current Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC) issued by either Services Australia or the Department of Veterans' Affairs
  • be the account holder named on the electricity bill
  • be applying for the rebate for your main place of residence.

Leaving Violence Program Grant Closes: Ongoing Value: Up to $5,000 (up to $1,500 in cash and remaining funds in goods and services) Run By: Australian Government Department of Social Services Further Information: https://www.dss.gov.au/safety-programs-prevention-and-evidence/leaving-violence-program

The Leaving Violence Program started on 1 July 2025, and supports eligible victim-survivors leaving violent intimate partner relationships. Please note though that the Leaving Violence Program is not a crisis support service.

The program is delivered in 2 ways:

  • a national program delivered by a national provider
  • regional trials in 4 regions across Australia, delivered by First Nations-led organisations.

Eligible victim-survivors can get up to $5,000 in financial support, including up to $1,500 in cash and the remaining funds in goods and services. Other supports include safety planning, risk assessment and referrals to other services for up to 12 weeks. 

To be eligible for support through the Leaving Violence Program, a person must:

  • be a victim-survivor of intimate partner violence
  • have left or have a plan to leave an intimate partner violence relationship
  • be aged 18 years or older
  • be residing in Australia as an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or temporary visa holder
  • be experiencing financial stress
  • not have received the payment in the past 12 months through the Escaping Violence Payment (EVP) trial, Temporary Visa Holders Experiencing Violence Pilot (TVP), the national program or the regional trials 

and have either:

  • changed living arrangements in the past 12 weeks as a result of the intimate partner violence (including if the person using violence has left the home)

or

  • plan to change living arrangements, including when the change will occur.

Support is available to victim-survivors of any gender, sexuality or visa status.

This grant provides tailored advice and assistance to councils and groups of councils to undertake joint procurement of waste management service(s) or waste infrastructure (plan phase).

The objectives of the Joint Procurement Funded Support are to:

  • support councils to access the best advice and to be confident in their procurement decisions
  • facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing and partnerships to help councils strategically plan and deliver waste infrastructure and services
  • support groups of councils to procure cost effective waste management services and/or waste management infrastructure
  • promote alignment or harmonisation of services between councils
  • Support councils to meet waste and resource recovery targets in their transition to a circular economy

Who can apply

  • All NSW councils - (as defined in the NSW Local Government Act).​
  • Regional Organisations of Councils (ROCs)
  • Regional Waste Groups
  • Joint Organisations (JO’s)​

NSW councils remain eligible if they partner with councils outside of NSW (however, the lead council must be a NSW council).

The Para sport Equipment Enhancement Program (PEEP) provides targeted support to address the specific gap of equipment within the Para sport pathway, enabling more athletes to enter and progress within the Para sport pathway, including those competing within high-performance.

Application Streams

Stream 1: Athlete Participation Stream
Individual athletes who participate or want to compete in Para sport, requiring Para specific or customised equipment to do so. These athletes are not Categorised by their respective National Sport Organisation (NSO) or National Sport Organisation for people with a Disability (NSOD).

Stream 2: Athlete Performance Pathway Stream 
Individual NSO/NSOD Categorised Athletes within the performance pathway requiring Para specific or customised equipment to compete in within the high-performance pathway. 

Stream 3: Program Participation Stream 
Community programs, Sporting Clubs or State Sporting Organisations (SSO’s) requiring Para specific or customised sport equipment to deliver for groups of Para athletes.

Stream 4: NSO, NSOD & SIS/SAS Para-sport units & RAS Stream 
NSO/NSOD & State Institutes & State Academies of Sport (SIS/SAS) Para sport unit & Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) immediate gaps and needs to enable a rapid upscale of Para specific equipment requirements to support the ambition of increasing the number of Categorised athletes and Para athletes competing within the Para performance pathway.

The P&C Transition Grant Program is designed to support approved OOSH services that have transitioned to P&C ownership as a result of the recent Provider Category Review.

The objectives of the P&C Transition Grant are to:

  1. Support approved parent-run OOSH services that are transitioning to P&C ownership.
  2. Support P&Cs who are taking on responsibility for transitioning OOSH services.
  3. Ensure continuing access for NSW Government primary school students to approved OOSH services impacted by the recent Provider Category Review.

 Who can apply:

  • Applicants must be an approved OOSH provider.
  • The application must benefit an approved OOSH service operating in NSW. One application is allowable per service location.
  • The approved OOSH service must have transitioned to P&C ownership as a result of the recent Provider Category Review.
  • The approved OOSH provider must have transitioned to P&C as a result of the recent Provider Category Review.
  • Applications must be submitted by an authorised officer; a person legally able to enter into agreements on behalf of the approved service provider.
