Featured Grants
Community Building Partnership Program

The NSW Community Building Partnership program awards grants for community infrastructure projects. The NSW Government is investing in infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes, while promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion.
In 2019, there is a maximum of $300,000 to allocate in each electorate. Incorporated not-for-profit community organisations and local councils are eligible to apply for grants of between $2500 and $300,000. Funding requests over the maximum amount will not be considered. As a guide, the average grant awarded is around $20,000.
Projects with contributions from their own or other sources will be considered favourably. Local councils, including their section 355 committees, are required to provide matched funding to the CBP grants. As total funding will be divided equally among the state electorates of NSW, applications will be assessed against other proposed projects within the same electorate.
Local Schools Community Fund

The Australian Government is providing $30.2 million in 2019–20 for the Local Schools Community Fund (the Fund), with up to $200,000 available for each federal electorate. The Fund will benefit students and assist schools to meet their priorities through the contribution of funding for small scale projects and their associated costs.
The Fund is open to all schools—government, Catholic and independent. Schools can apply for funding for one project between $1,000 and $20,000. Where a school is composed of multiple campuses, the school or campus may submit an application for each campus to fund a project between $1,000 and $20,000. Funding requested can be for the total cost of the project, or part of the cost where the school contributes an amount.
Stronger Country Communities Fund

The Stronger Country Communities Fund was established in 2017 by the NSW Government to help deliver local projects to regional communities. The objective of the fund is to provide projects that improve the lives of people who live in regional areas.Round Three of the Fund will see another $100 million made available for projects that improve the lives and wellbeing of regional NSW communities. This includes a dedicated $50 million for projects for young people.
Projects must be located in one of the 93 regional NSW Local Government Areas. Funds will be split across regional NSW according to a funding formula based on population and the cost of construction in each Local Government Area. Each eligible council will be informed in writing of the funding available for their Local Government Area.
