Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Run My Way Grant Program 2026/27

This Program forms part of Transport for NSW’s multi-year collaboration with the Office of Sport under the Safer Cities Program which is aimed at increasing women, girls and gender diverse people’s active and meaningful participation in running.

The key objectives of the program are to:

  • Improve perceptions of safety for women, girls and gender-diverse people participating in running
  • Reduce barriers to participation by supporting initiatives that make running feel more welcoming, accessible and inclusive
  • Build the capability of running organisations and providers to create safe, respectful and inclusive environments for participants of all backgrounds and abilities
  • Foster partnerships between running clubs, community organisations and local stakeholders to support safer and more inclusive running environments
  • Increase participation and retention of women, girls and gender-diverse people in running.
  • Encourage community-led approaches to safety, including initiatives that promote social connection, visibility, confidence and collective participation in public spaces
  • Support running activities that activate public spaces and strengthen community connections.

 

Country Arts Support Program (CASP) - 2026

The Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is an annual small grants program by Arts North West and funded by Create NSW. Grants of up to $3,000 are available to support not-for-profit organisations, local councils and eligible community groups to deliver locally driven arts and cultural projects across the New England North West.

CASP invests in projects that strengthen community participation, celebrate local identity and culture, engage professional artists, and create meaningful social, cultural and economic outcomes for regional communities.

Projects may include workshops, artist residencies, exhibitions, performances, public art, festivals with a strong arts component and other community-led creative initiatives.

 

Aboriginal Sport for Respect Grant

The Aboriginal Sport for Respect Grant program enables Aboriginal organisations and communities to design and lead activities that reflect local priorities and ways of knowing, fostering respectful relationships through genuine partnership with the sport and active recreation sector.

The key objectives of the program are to:

Support Aboriginal-led Prevention through Sport: Enable Aboriginal communities, organisations and leaders to design and deliver primary prevention activities that reflect local priorities, strengths, culture and Aboriginal ways of knowing.

Promote safe, respectful and inclusive sporting environments: Support projects that use sport and active recreation to strengthen respectful relationships, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, and promote safety, inclusion and belonging

Address the drivers of DFSV in culturally meaningful ways: Support projects that respond to the gendered, colonial and social drivers of domestic, family and sexual violence in ways that are culturally safe, strengths-based, trauma-informed and community-led.

Build local capability and partnerships for prevention: Strengthen the ability of Aboriginal communities, sport and active recreation organisations, ACCOs, DFSV prevention specialists and local partners to work together and embed prevention into everyday sporting activities, leadership, policies, practices and community engagement.

Strengthen learning and impact through Aboriginal-led reflection and evaluation in sport: Embedding culturally appropriate reflection, continuous evaluation and storytelling to understand what works, what is meaningful for communities, identify opportunities to strengthen impact and how Aboriginal-led approaches can inform future prevention activity and investment.
