Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Due to the number of grants that are available, we send two funding opportunities newsletters a month; one for Business and Infrastructure and another for Community Projects and Award Programs. Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors Grant Program - Round 3
Closes: 19th of September 2022

This grant program is an initiative to address social isolation for older people. It funds projects that support seniors to connect with others and address the challenges that contribute to social isolation.

Round three of the Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors grant program has three funding categories:

  1. Creation grants are for new innovative projects, with $20,000 to five innovative projects.
  2. Enhancement and/or expansion grants target known projects that work, with $30,000 each for 10 different organisations.
  3. Local council grants are available to local councils, with $50,000 to four different councils.

 

National Shed Development Program - Round 24
Closes: 27th of September 2022

The NSDP is open to all Men’s Sheds in Australia and is a competitive grants programme. It supports Men’s Sheds and organisations supporting a Men’s Shed to better respond to the local needs of their community.

Men’s Sheds can apply for financial support across the following funding categories:

  • Health, Wellbeing and Events - $8,000maximum
  • Shed Improvements - $8,000 maximum
  • Equipment - $5,000 maximum
  • Mental Health, Wellbeing and Events - $8,000 maximum
  • Defibrillators - $2,250 maximum

 

Real Schools Grants - 2022
Closes: 30th of September 2022
Value: Up to $5,000
Run By: Real Insurance

This program seeks to fund initiatives that reflect a real desire to improve the quality of school resources and communities.

Submissions must align to one or more of the Real Insurance company values:

  • Health - clearly provide intent and evidence of planned work(s) that would promote the health of the intended beneficiaries. Where past works have been concluded, please include as evidence in your submission.
  • Learning & Development - clearly outline the plan of learning or research outcome that would lead to an improved outcome and development.
  • Information & Technology - provide a justified summary of a current lack of access to information and/or technology (including online/remote learning tools) that would prove highly useful for intended beneficiaries.
  • Community & Infrastructure - clearly provide intent and evidence of planned work(s) that would promote a positive or improved outcome for the intended beneficiaries. Where past works have been concluded, please include as evidence in your submission.
