Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Due to the number of grants that are available, we send two funding opportunities newsletters a month; one for Business and Infrastructure and another for Community Projects and Award Programs. Coronavirus (COVID-19), Drought and Bushfire Assistance

To help businesses and individuals affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) access the available assistance we have created a dedicated Coronavirus Assistance page on our website. This page will be updated as details become available on the recently announced economic stimulus packages from the Australian and NSW Governments.

There is also wide range of assistance available for individuals, businesses and communities that have been affected by the ongoing drought and the recent bushfires. To help you access this support, we have created dedicated Drought Assistance and  Bushfire Assistance pages on our website which are being updated reguarly.

Infrastructure Grants

The NSW Government offers grants to communities across NSW to support the building, renovation and fit-out of infrastructure. Funding is available for arts and cultural infrastructure, sport and recreation infrastructure and projects that assist communities with essential infrastructure and disaster readiness.

Infrastructure Grants can be used toward the costs of construction, alteration, renovation, completion and fit-out of buildings and community infrastructure in the following areas:

  • Arts & Culture: $50,000 to $200,000 available per project
  • Disaster Readiness & Community Infrastructure: $10,000 to $200,000 available per project
  • Sport & Recreation:  $100,000 to $300,000 available per project

Fair - Community Wellbeing

The Community Wellbeing program area seeks to identify and support those organisations which have well thought out projects that seek to help vulnerable members of the community to overcome the challenging circumstances in which they find themselves.

The Foundation’s support extends both to organisations that have demonstrated success and to those seeking to make well-considered innovations.  The Foundation favours programs that are preventative in nature and seek to address the root causes of disadvantage.

To improve circumstances for vulnerable members of the community, this program area supports organisations that seek to establish pathways for vulnerable individuals such as:
creating employment pathways for people with disabilities or otherwise vulnerable individuals assisting individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness and all that goes with it.

Fair - Early Childhood Development

With the aim to improve learning and development outcomes for children this stream supports innovative programs and sector initiatives in early childhood (0–8 years old) including, in particular, programs that recognise and foster parental engagement in their children’s learning and development. 
Applications targeting children who are highly vulnerable will be prioritised, as will projects that identify or support the development of evidence and shared measurement tools.
