Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

The Growing Regions Program – Round 1 will deliver grants up to a maximum of $15,000,000 over 3 years to deliver community infrastructure projects.It will deliver community and economic benefits by investing in community-focused infrastructure which revitalises regions and enhances amenity and liveability throughout regional Australia.

The objectives of the program are:

  • constructing or upgrading community infrastructure that fills an identified gap or need for community infrastructure
  • contributing to achieving a wide range of community socio-economic outcomes.
  • is strategically aligned with regional priorities.

 

Youth Opportunities - 2024

The Youth Opportunities program provides one-off, time-limited grants for new projects that enable marginalised young people to lead and participate in their communities.

The purpose of Program is to increase marginalised young people’s participation in activities that strengthen their connection and belonging to their communities.

The Program supports organisations to empower marginalised young people to design and deliver community projects, enabling them to:

  • overcome barriers to participating in the community
  • build community based partnerships and networks
  • feel a greater sense of belonging within their community
  • feel empowered, as their ideas and opinions are respected, considered and acted upon
  • gain relevant training to support their participation
  • feel more confident within themselves and their abilities, having expanded their knowledge and skills
  • seek further opportunities to participate and stay engaged in their community.


NAB Foundation Community Grants - 2023

The NAB Foundation’s Environmental Resilience Fund was established to support practical projects that build environmental resilience to natural disasters and climate change.

They’re looking for projects that support collaboration between several stakeholder groups.

They want to support:

  • Projects or initiatives that are in early development stages, where funds can be used to build, test, and pilot an innovative idea or model. Where beneficial, the NAB Foundation may be available to assist in co-design of the project or initiative.
  • Projects and organisations with proven models or solutions that are operational, where funds will help scale and increase impact.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to fund local projects aiming to do one or more of the following:

  • Readiness: help communities (people, environments, infrastructure) prepare for natural disasters.
  • Recovery: help communities, landscapes and fauna rebuild and rehabilitate after natural disasters.


Regional Arts Fund - Project Grants - 2023

The Regional Arts Fund is an ongoing program that provides approximately $3.6 million per year to support artists and communities in regional and remote areas. The Regional Arts Fund is part of the Australian Government’s Arts and Cultural Development Program that supports participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture through developing and supporting cultural expression.

The objectives of the Regional Arts Fund are to support and promote participation in, and
access to, Australia's arts and culture in regional and remote Australia, and through doing so:

  • encourage and support sustainable economic, social and cultural outcomes in regional communities;
  •  develop partnerships and networks which leverage financial and/or in-kind support for regional arts projects and encourage ongoing collaboration;
  • develop audiences and broaden community engagement with the arts;
  • increase employment and professional development opportunities for, and raise the profile of, regional and remote artists; and
  • support quality and viability of artistic and cultural activity.
