The Heart Foundation is offering multiple grants up to the value of $50,000 for new, innovative projects that get more people moving in schools, universities or local community groups.
They are encouraging community groups, councils, schools (preschools, primary and secondary), tertiary institutions (universities, TAFEs, colleges), and other organisations to come up with an innovative idea to encourage physical activity in a chosen group or community.
The Heart Foundation strongly encourages innovative projects that support people:
- identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- living with a disability
- living in rural and remote regions
NSW Justice Reinvestment

Justice reinvestment is an approach that supports communities to find local solutions to local issues. The aim of justice reinvestment is to resource communities to develop, and deliver solutions that reduce contact with the criminal justice system, including the police, courts and prison. Justice Reinvestment aims to support communities to identify the reasons why people end up in the criminal justice system in the first place, and then come up with activities and initiatives that can make real change.
The NSW Justice Reinvestment Grant Program will fund Aboriginal community-led change to address the underlying causes of imprisonment and re-offending.
Kitchen Garden Kickstart Grants

These grants are designed to enable schools to kickstart a successful and sustainable Kitchen Garden Program. Grant funds support the purchase of key infrastructure and are often spent on items such as garden beds, ovens, accessible work top benches, greenhouses and outdoor learning spaces.
12 successful schools will each receive a 2-year Kitchen Garden Program Membership and a once-off $5,000 grant to spend on kickstarting or boosting their Program. The grant will enable schools to purchase necessary garden and/or kitchen materials, such as garden beds, garden tools, benches, pots and pans – whatever the school needs to support their Program to grow!
