Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Active Regional Communities Package - Community Participation

The objective of the Active Regional Communities Community Participation Stream is to increase liveability and social cohesion of communities through greater participation in community activities that contribute to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of residents.

Eligible projects that can be supported by a Community Participation grant will increase participation in the type of community activities that contribute to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of residents, to achieve the program objective at 1.3. and can include:

  • new and improved infrastructure and/or activation of under-used assets
  • new or expanded services or programs, that increase access to, or improve the diversity of community activities and cohorts that can participate
  • addressing barriers to participation, improving the amenity of activities with facilities, childcare (creche), increased safety, supervision and/or transport.

 

Active Regional Communities Package - Local Priorities

The objective of the Active Regional Communities Local Priorities Stream is to expand the activities of community organisations that contribute to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of residents.

Projects that can be supported by a Local Priorities grant:

  • contributes to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of local residents consistent with the program objectives
  • will enable organisations to remove barriers, expand, enhance or provide new activities for participation by more people or a wider range of people
  • can include expenditure related to infrastructure, equipment, salaries (new, temporary only), services or maintenance of existing infrastructure/assets.

Eligible projects can include establishment of new community organisations with a primary focus on activities that contribute to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of residents.

 

Environmental Restoration and Rehabilitation - 2026

The Environmental Restoration and Rehabilitation grants program supports community and government organisations to achieve lasting, positive impacts on the NSW environment.

The objectives of the program are to:

  • improve and protect the quality of ecosystems and environmental assets managed by community groups, land managers and stakeholders
  • enhance the management of environmental assets by facilitating the development of environmental expertise and stronger partnerships between individuals, community groups, governments and industry
  • provide an appropriate, effective, and sustainable mechanism to deliver government policy, priorities and outcomes.

 

Cultural Access - Priority Area Projects for Individuals and Organisations - 2026

This funding supports individuals, groups and organisations that are led by and/or support ACFP Strategic Priority Area communities to develop and deliver a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences.

This funding could:

  • enable the development, creation and presentation of work designed, led by and/or for artists, arts and cultural workers, groups and organisations in NSW who are included in the Strategic Priority Areas.
  • strengthen communities through equitable access to arts and cultural experiences.
  • provide capacity building opportunities and strengthen the diversity of cultural leadership within the NSW arts and culture ecosystem.
  • increase the visibility of work developed and created for and by prioritised NSW artists, arts and cultural workers, and audiences.
  • strengthen the creative ecosystem through collaborations and partnerships.
  • support access to resources and expertise for artists and arts and cultural workers to grow their careers.
  • contribute to personal and community wellbeing, and economic development.
