Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

The foundation provides funding for two priority areas:

1. Children with physical &/or mental disabilities
Projects by community based organisations to support children with physical and/or mental disabilities or their carers, particularly projects seeking to address social isolation experienced by such children and their carers (Not including research projects).

2. Elderly people suffering mental disabilities
Projects by community based organisations to support elderly people suffering from mental disabilities (including dementia) or their carers, particularly projects seeking to address social isolation experienced by such elderly persons and their carers (Not including research projects).

 

Saving Native Species

This funding opportunity is seeking to deliver improved trajectories for the 110 identified priority threatened species from the Threatened Species Action Plan (2022-2032).

The Saving Native Species (Priority Species) grant opportunity will help deliver the objectives of the Action Plan; that the risk of extinction is reduced for all priority species. Recovery actions for many of the 110 priority species will also benefit other threatened species that share their habitat.

The intended outcomes of the program are to:

  • reduce the risk of extinction for all priority species
  • improve the condition for all priority places
  • prevent new extinctions of plants and animals
  • protect and conserve at least 30 per cent of Australia’s land mass.

 

Volunteer Museum Grant Program - Project Development Grants - 2023

Project Development Grants empower community museums and Aboriginal cultural spaces to carry out strategic and innovative projects with mid to long term outcomes. The grants can also provide an opportunity to work productively with an appropriate consultant as a skill development opportunity.

Previous Project Development Grants have funded strategic and marketing plans, significance assessments, exhibition development, touring exhibitions and public programs.

Project Development Grants are open to museums and Aboriginal cultural spaces (with object collections and displays) with up to two full time paid staff members (no more than 70 hours of paid staffing per week) as well as museum networks such as AMaGA Chapters.

 

Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program - 2023-24

The objective of the program is to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australia’s service personnel in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

There are two categories of grants available under this program:

Community grants (up to $10,000)
These small grants are for projects and activities that are focused on the local community, commemorate the service and sacrifice of local community members, and are primarily accessed by the local community.

Major grants ($10,001 to $150,000)
These projects may include the construction of new war or peace memorials, where none currently exist, as well as additions to existing memorials.
