Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Regional Event Fund - Event Development Stream - 2022

Grants are available to eligible events that have previously received triennial funding through the Flagship Event stream to support initiatives that have a direct impact on increasing overnight visitation to the event.

The Event Development stream supports the strategic growth of proven events that demonstrate a clear rationale for the continued development of its tourism potential.

Applications for the 2022 Event Development stream are now open and will remain open until available funds are exhausted. Applications to the Event Development stream must be received by Destination NSW in sufficient time prior to the next event to allow for assessment and delivery of the initiative for which funding has been requested.

 

Sustainable Schools - Round 4

School Infrastructure NSW’s Sustainable Schools Grants invite all NSW public schools and preschools to apply for funding up to $15,000 to deliver hands-on, sustainability-focused projects that link to the NSW curriculum.

The grants are part of a 4-year, $10 million program that gives schools the opportunity to develop innovative hands-on projects that help students learn about environmentally sustainable practices and take real steps to enhance the sustainability of their school environment.

Projects may include, but are not limited to initiatives to improve:

  • biodiversity and connect students to nature
  • energy, water and waste efficiency
  • environmental education, behavioural change and capacity building.

Note: Non-government schools and preschools not owned and operated by the NSW Department of Education are ineligible to apply.

 

NSW Women’s Week Grants

NSW Women’s Week celebrates the diverse contributions of women and girls. It is an opportunity to reflect on the social, economic and achievements of women and girls in NSW.

This program provides funding for events and activities to be held duirng NSW Women’s Week - Monday 6 March and Sunday 12 March 2023.

Who can apply

  • Incorporated incorporated not-for-profit community organisations that are registered and approved as not-for-profit bodies by NSW Fair Trading.
  • NSW local councils (and their section 355 committees) operating under the Local Government Act (1993) are obliged to cash match or provide in-kind support up to the value of $5000.

NSW Women’s Week events or activities will need to align with at least one of the three- targeted priorities:

  • Economic opportunity and advancement
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Participation and empowerment
