Welcome to our new Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of selected grant submissions from around the region for Community Projects and Award Programs.

Due to the number of grants that are available, we now send two funding opportunities newsletters a month; one for Business and Infrastructure and another for Community Projects and Award Programs, rather than the one combined newsletter.

Featured Grants

Youth Opportunities

The Youth Opportunities program provides one-off, time-limited grants to not-for-profit organisations and local councils for youth-led and youth-driven community projects that have a positive youth development focus.

Funded projects from previous rounds have focused on giving young people the opportunity to develop a range of skills, including life skills and healthy behaviours; leadership, communication and teamwork; event management and planning; and providing volunteering opportunities that link young people to further education and training.

Organisations seeking project funding from the Youth Opportunities program are to involve young people in all aspects of the project (initiating, leading, managing and participating). Projects which are genuinely youth-led and youth-driven are those initiated by young people in response to what they have said they need. They are seeking applications which address young people’s identified needs in an innovative way and increase young people’s connections to the community. Organisations must speak with young people and involve them in developing the project proposal prior to submitting an application.

Canon Oceania Grants

In the spirit of their guiding philosophy of Kyosei - living and working together for the common good, Canon has proudly supported community and environmental groups throughout Oceania for the last 11 years.
This program supports schools, not-for-profit and community groups who are addressing both social and environmental issues in their community and inspiring change for future generations.

Canon are offering seven grants, each worth $5,000 of Canon equipment and money in-kind across Australia in the following categories:
1 x Environmental Grant - $4,000 product & $1,000 cash

In a Good Place supports rural, regional and remote communities in their efforts to strengthen the mental health of at-risk and vulnerable members of their communities via projects, services or activities that are preventative or responsive in nature and which are designed to engage those less likely, unable due to distance and isolation, or ineligible to participate in mainstream mental health services.

English Family Foundation - Ingnitor Fund

Festivals Australia: Regional Festivals Project Fund

Helps Australian public cultural organisations buy significant objects that they could not otherwise afford. Australian cultural institutions can apply for funding.
