Safer Local Roads Infrastructure Program (SLRIP) - Tranche 6

The Safer Local Roads Infrastructure Program (SLRIP) provides funding for projects to address current and emerging priorities in road infrastructure needs.

SLRIP has 4 objectives that are linked to road infrastructure priorities:

  • road safety
  • productivity
  • road resilience
  • sustainability.

The program funds projects under three project streams:

  • Road construction and upgrades
  • Bridge renewal 
  • Heavy vehicle facilities

It is an ongoing, application-based, merit-assessed, funding program, open to all state and territory governments and Local Government Authorities (LGAs).

 

Indigenous Broadcasting and Media Program – Strengthening Community Broadcasting Grant Opportunity

The Indigenous Broadcasting and Media Program objectives include supporting the First Nations broadcasting and media sector to modernise and stabilise operations and supporting the First Nations broadcasting and media sector to deliver reliable, high quality, culturally and locally relevant broadcasting services.  

The intended outcomes of the grant are:

  • Improved capacity of First Nations broadcasting and media services to deliver high quality broadcasting services.
  • Relevant First Nations news, information, cultural and educational programs remain accessible.
  • Opportunities for training and development in the First Nations Broadcasting and Media sector are provided.
  • Increase in the number of First Nations community broadcasting services operating in Australia.

This quick response grant is for venues who demonstrate a commitment to increasing live music programming to undertake assessment reports, development applications, legal services, planning expenses and energy audits.

Advice may include: 

  • assessment reports to support infrastructure development (e.g. soundproofing, ventilation, accessibility) 
  • development application and planning expenses 
  • legal services and licensing consultants 
  • energy efficiency audits. 

 

Infrastructure and Equipment - 2026/27

This grant supports dedicated live music venues to purchase equipment, undertake infrastructure works and to install high-end audiovisual systems and advanced lighting technology.

This funding aims to:

  • increase the number of fit-for-purpose live music venues in NSW
  • increase sector knowledge and expertise in best practice sound management and sustainable live music programming
