Welcome to our Business and Infrastructure Funding Opportunities Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for businesses and infrastructure projects.

Coronavirus (COVID-19), Drought and Bushfire Assistance

To help businesses and individuals affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) access the available assistance we have created a dedicated Coronavirus Assistance page on our website. This page will be updated as details become available on the recently announced economic stimulus packages from the Australian and NSW Governments.

There is also wide range of assistance available for individuals, businesses and communities that have been affected by the ongoing drought and the recent bushfires. To help you access this support, we have created dedicated Drought Assistance and  Bushfire Assistance pages on our website which are being updated reguarly.

Industrial Transformation Research Hubs

The Industrial Transformation Research Hubs scheme encourages and supports university-based researchers and industry to work together to find solutions to a range of strategic priorities facing Australian industries. These priorities are identified by the ARC as the Industrial Transformation Priorities.

The current Industrial Transformation Priorities are:

  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Cyber Security
  • Food and Agribusiness
  • Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals
  • Mining Equipment, Technology and Services
  • Oil, Gas and Energy Resources

Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P)
Closes: 1st of October 2020
Value: $100,000 to $3,000,000

This grant supports short-term (up to 3 years), industry-led collaborations. For round ten, projects must have a focus on addressing gaps in Australia’s waste and recycling capability, particularly in regards to plastics, paper, glass and tyres.

Projects must:

  • develop a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver real outcomes
  • benefit small to medium enterprises (SMEs)
  • include education and training activities

You can use the funding to cover costs directly related to your project including:

  • new research
  • proof of concept activities
  • pre-commercialisation of research outcomes
  • industry-focused education and training activities
  • conferences, workshops, symposia related to the joint research
  • information sharing and communications related to the research

Energy Efficient Communities Program – High Energy Using Business Grants

Provides businesses with an annual net energy consumption of more than 0.05 PJ per year with grants to improve their energy efficiency.

Quality Learning Environments Program

Funding for not-for-profit community preschools and not-for-profit long day cares to purchase resources and activities which improve physical or educational learning environments.

Advancing Pest Animal and Weed Control Solutions

This grant round is aimed at research organisations, companies or consortia to research and develop innovative control solutions to improve the way established pest animals and weeds are managed.
