The Transport Access Regional Partnerships (TARP) Grants Program has small scale funding available to support initiatives to improve services and outcomes for sections of the community that need improved transport.

TARP provides funding for people who are affected by specific circumstances that leave them with limited or no access to private transport. The program supports initiatives to improve services and outcomes for transport disadvantaged groups in rural and regional community.

Types of projects funded

The following is considered when deciding whether or not an initiative will be included in the TARP program:

• Funding for projects is available on a trial or ‘seeding’ basis i.e. recurrent funding is not available through this program.
• In most cases, funded projects will need to demonstrate they can become self-sustaining.
• Projects should aim to make better use of existing transport resources.
• Consideration will be given to projects that provide information, transport related capacity building, subsidies or trial services.
• The program cannot fund the purchase of vehicles.

Partnerships with other organisations are encouraged - for example initiatives that include state agencies, local councils, transport operators and/or community organisations. 

Eligibility

Eligible organisations include non-profit community based organisations, incorporated associations, local councils, statutory agencies and current Australian Business Number (ABN) holders.

Other groups or individuals are free to propose projects either directly to Transport for NSW, or to an eligible organisation in their region.

The Australia-Indonesia Institute (AII) Grant Program provides grants each year to develop, promote and strengthen understanding and engagement between Australia and Indonesia. The AII Grant Program’s objectives are to: increase public interest and understanding of Indonesia in Australia, and of the importance of the bilateral relationship, across a broad audience; increase Australians’ capability to effectively engage with Indonesia; and to develop partnerships, collaborations and people-to-people links in areas of shared interest in the bilateral and regional context.

To deliver on its objectives, the focus of the annual program pivots from year to year. The 2026-27 grant opportunity will focus on Indonesian capability and language. Indonesia capability refers to the knowledge, skills, experience, and networks that enable effective engagement with Indonesia.

Priority will be given to projects that can demonstrate how they improve Australia’s ability to engage with Indonesia by building cultural understanding and knowledge, Indonesian language skills, and sustainable networks across community, schools and universities.

The Elevate: First Nations Storytelling and Literature Fund is a set $10,000 AUD career development grant open to First Nations individuals and groups who are writers, poets, editors, illustrators, journalists, arts workers, and groups in the literature sector.   

Elevate is designed to support and develop career pathways and opportunities which may include capacity building, networking, mentoring, residencies, and audience development for their work. Projects can take place nationally, internationally, online, or in a combination of in-person and online capacities. Elevate is for projects beginning on or after 1 February 2027. 

Supported activities must last no longer than 12 months from the proposed start date.

The Aboriginal Sport for Respect Grant program enables Aboriginal organisations and communities to design and lead activities that reflect local priorities and ways of knowing, fostering respectful relationships through genuine partnership with the sport and active recreation sector.

The key objectives of the program are to:

Support Aboriginal-led Prevention through Sport: Enable Aboriginal communities, organisations and leaders to design and deliver primary prevention activities that reflect local priorities, strengths, culture and Aboriginal ways of knowing.

Promote safe, respectful and inclusive sporting environments: Support projects that use sport and active recreation to strengthen respectful relationships, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, and promote safety, inclusion and belonging

Address the drivers of DFSV in culturally meaningful ways: Support projects that respond to the gendered, colonial and social drivers of domestic, family and sexual violence in ways that are culturally safe, strengths-based, trauma-informed and community-led.

Build local capability and partnerships for prevention: Strengthen the ability of Aboriginal communities, sport and active recreation organisations, ACCOs, DFSV prevention specialists and local partners to work together and embed prevention into everyday sporting activities, leadership, policies, practices and community engagement.

Strengthen learning and impact through Aboriginal-led reflection and evaluation in sport: Embedding culturally appropriate reflection, continuous evaluation and storytelling to understand what works, what is meaningful for communities, identify opportunities to strengthen impact and how Aboriginal-led approaches can inform future prevention activity and investment.

Quick Response Fashion Grants support business development and industry engagement, with dedicated funding for First Nations, Western Sydney and regional NSW applicants.  The Program will enable emerging designers to purchase essential fashion and textile equipment or pursue professional development opportunities. 

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for:

1. professional development opportunities; or
2. purchase of equipment

A total of $500,000 (ex GST) is available for the 2026-2027 financial year, with $250,000 allocated to First Nations, Western Sydney, and regional NSW emerging designers and businesses.

The Program supports emerging fashion and textile design practitioners and businesses to grow, helping sustain NSW’s fashion industry.  

The Program aims to provide opportunities for applicants to:   

• undertake professional development for their career progression 
• produce new works  
• show works in new ways  
• gain access to equipment to further their work.  

The intended outcomes of the Program are: 

• skill and experience development  
• expanded professional networks across NSW  
• increased industry recognition (e.g. media, trade shows, publications) 
• strengthened career development and/or business capability.

Schools Plus connects Australian schools with the support and expertise they need to close the opportunity gap. Providing up to three years of funding, coaching and other project support to ensure your students are thriving at school.

Who can apply

K-12 Government, Catholic, Independent or Special Needs schools

Must have ICSEA score below 1000.

Support available

$40,000 – $120,000 per year depending on the number of schools in the application.

Clusters of 10+ schools may be eligible for up to $120,000 per year.

Focus areas

AI or STEM – Up to 2 years.

Rural, regional and remote – Up to 3 years.

EOI projects – Up to 3 years.

The First Nations Arts and d/Deaf and/or Disabilities Project Fund supports projects and professional development opportunities across all art forms, nationally and internationally.  

It is open to: 

• Australian First Nations d/Deaf artists and arts workers
• Australian First Nations artists and arts workers with disability 
• Australian First Nations d/Deaf artists and arts workers groups
• Australian First Nations artists and arts workers with disability groups
• Australian First Nations organisations. 

Eligibility

Individuals/Groups must: 

• Identify as First Nations 
• Identify as d/Deaf and/or with disability
• Be 18+ years
• Be based in Australia. 

Organisations must: 

• Identify as Australian First Nations organisations:
  • at least 51% First Nations on the board 
  • be known as a First Nations organisation that provides programs for First Nations communities.
• Demonstrate a history of working with and supporting Australian artists and/or arts workers who identify as:
  • First Nations who are d/Deaf and/or with disability
  • be based in Australia. 

Applications must have: 

• eligible funding amount requested ($5,000 - $10,000)
• eligible project’s start date is on or after 1 February 2027, and the end date must be completed within 2 years of your starting date. 

The NSW Football Facilities Fund is a program designed to provide financial investment into community football facilities across the state. Clubs will be able to apply for funding to support projects that have a positive impact on AFL participation and experience. 

Across New South Wales, nearly 300 playing fields are being used for Australian football, with this number increasing annually as record numbers of players are attracted to the game. Increasing the usage capacity of ovals and pavilions and development of accessible and female friendly rooms that welcome participants and umpires from each gender has never been more important.

The objectives of the NSW Facilities Fund are to:

• Maximise the carrying capacity of existing venues and the quality/functionality of their supporting infrastructure.
• Develop new and increased carrying capacity through construction of new ovals, especially in growing communities in a variety of traditional or innovative settings.
• Provide inclusive and accessible facilities that cater for the diversity of participants, particularly female participants, who wish to participate in our game.
• Develop venues to support the game’s complete talent pathway, umpiring, landmark heritage sites and people working and volunteering within the game.
• Enable planning and project partnerships to form with a range of government and non-government bodies to result in an improved quantity, quality and welcoming venue network for Australian Football.
• Provide immediate support for those directly affected by natural disasters throughout Australia.

The AFL Facilities Fund program is opento:

• Local government authorities in NewSouth Wales
• All affiliated Australian Football Clubsin New South Wales
• Schools based in NSW
• Other stakeholders invested in buildingthe capacity of our facilities and growing the game

ACCF provides annual fundings of up to $10,000 for community projects that directly benefit those in need in the community.

ACCF recognises the important contribution that community organisations make to the social, cultural, economic and environmental aspects that are in parallel with the aims and objectives of ACCF.

Applications may be made on the basis of the following categories:

• Youth
• Aged
• Special needs

The applicant must be:

• A registered not-for-profit organisation, or
• A registered charitable organisation, or
• A group auspiced by a not-for-profit organisation.

The Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Project Grants Program supports multicultural projects that meet a community need at the grassroots level and support community harmony across New South Wales.

Eligible applicants for a Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Project Grant must be one of the following:

• Incorporated under the Associations Incorporations Act
• Company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act 2001
• Cooperative registered under Cooperatives Act 1992
• Incorporated by an Act of Parliament
• Corporate trustee of a trust that has deductible gift recipient status under the Commonwealth Taxation laws
• An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth) or a Local Aboriginal Land Council under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW)

Projects must:

• be delivered in NSW
• show how the project will measure outcomes
• outline how the project is cost-effective and viable with an accurate budget

The Coles Little Athletics Community Fund (CLACF) is a grant scheme designed to distribute money to Little Athletics Centres/Clubs to improve the grassroots Little Athletics experience for volunteers, participants, and families by supporting the purchase of sports, safety and volunteering equipment.

Applicants may only use funds from the CLACF for the following purposes:

1. Essential athletics equipment: Little Athletics activity equipment required to run the regular Little Athletics program (e.g. collapsible hurdles, high jump mats, shot puts, javelins, measuring tapes, starting blocks, electronic starting guns, stop watches, sand for long jump pit);
2. Core safety or injury prevention: Items to ensure safe participation of athletes, officials and volunteers (e.g. first aid kit, defibrillator, shade marquees, portable discus nets, barriers).
3. Modified equipment: Purchase of modified equipment to facilitate the participation of athletes with a disability or beginners (e.g. step hurdles, vortex, Tiny Tots equipment, bean bags, training discuses, soft shot puts).
4. Volunteer support: Equipment to support volunteers to run the regular Little Athletics program more efficiently and effectively (e.g. Timing gates, rakes, speakers and microphones, line marker, trolleys, storage boxes).
5. Other: Items that do not fit in the categories above but will significantly improve the experience of the regular Little Athletics program. Freight and delivery of items can be included in “other”.

The Safer Local Roads Infrastructure Program (SLRIP) provides funding for projects to address current and emerging priorities in road infrastructure needs.

SLRIP has 4 objectives that are linked to road infrastructure priorities:

• road safety
• productivity
• road resilience
• sustainability.

The program funds projects under three project streams:

• Road construction and upgrades
• Bridge renewal 
• Heavy vehicle facilities

It is an ongoing, application-based, merit-assessed, funding program, open to all state and territory governments and Local Government Authorities (LGAs).

The Awards are held each year on 27 May the anniversary of the 1967 referendum and the opening of National Reconciliation Week, to honour First Nations excellence and the outstanding contributions of First Nations artists, arts workers and entrepreneurs to their practice, culture, and community. 

The Awards are assessed by an independent panel of First Nations Industry Advisors, with the Red Ochre Awards determined by the Creative Australia’s First Nations Board.   

• The prestigious Red Ochre Award for Lifetime Achievement in Artistic Excellence, to recognise the outstanding contribution of senior First Nations artists to their arts practice. Two recipients of the award will receive $60,000 each.
• The Established Artist of the Year Award, to recognise outstanding achievement in artistic practice of established Australian First Nations artists. The recipient of this award will receive $25,000.
• The Youth Award for Achievement in the Arts, to recognise the achievement of Australian First Nations artists or arts workers between the age of 18 and 35. The recipient of this award will receive $25,000.
• The First Nations Arts and Culture Business Innovation Award, to recognise innovation and excellence in entrepreneurship among Australian First Nations small to medium arts and culture businesses and community organisations (including Art Centres) nationwide. The recipient of this award will receive $25,000.
• The First Nations Arts Fellowships, supporting the creation of major works by two artists.

This Program forms part of Transport for NSW’s multi-year collaboration with the Office of Sport under the Safer Cities Program which is aimed at increasing women, girls and gender diverse people’s active and meaningful participation in running.

The key objectives of the program are to:

• Improve perceptions of safety for women, girls and gender-diverse people participating in running
• Reduce barriers to participation by supporting initiatives that make running feel more welcoming, accessible and inclusive
• Build the capability of running organisations and providers to create safe, respectful and inclusive environments for participants of all backgrounds and abilities
• Foster partnerships between running clubs, community organisations and local stakeholders to support safer and more inclusive running environments
• Increase participation and retention of women, girls and gender-diverse people in running.
• Encourage community-led approaches to safety, including initiatives that promote social connection, visibility, confidence and collective participation in public spaces
• Support running activities that activate public spaces and strengthen community connections.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, the applicant must:

• include a valid Incorporation Number and/or active Australian Business Number (ABN)
• include a declaration by the applicant organisation that if successful they will provide Public Liability Insurance with a minimum $5 million cover
• be a legally recognised entity, including:
  • an incorporated association registered in NSW or another Australian jurisdiction, or
  • a company registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), or
  • a not-for-profit organisation, including registered charities (ACNC), or
  • a sole trader operating a running-related business with an ABN.
• Have an established operational presence in NSW (e.g. program delivery, members, or events).

Core activity requirements

Applicants’ primary purpose must include the delivery of organised running activities, such as:

• community run clubs
• structured group training or coaching programs
• inclusive or social running programs
• running events or competitions
• athletics clubs with a distance running focus.

Note that sole traders may apply where the proposed project primarily delivers community participation outcomes in NSW and is not solely for commercial gain.

Applicants must provide evidence of active and ongoing operations, which may include;

• digital presence (website, social media, or event listings),
• participation data (e.g. attendance records, membership numbers)
• affiliation with recognised sporting bodies (e.g. Athletics NSW)
• governance documents (constitution, committee structure, or business registration)

Building Digital Skills grants help organisations deliver free Be Connected digital literacy programs to older Australians in their community.

Building Digital Skills grants of up to $20,500 help organisations to support older Australians aged 50+ through free digital mentoring sessions. A range of resources and support materials are available to help organisations to deliver this program, including the learning courses available on the Be Connected learning site.
