The Paid Practicum grant provides a wage subsidy to give ECEC Employees paid leave while they are undertaking their paid practicum.

Eligibility

Only ECEC services currently approved for and receiving the Childcare Subsidy (CCS) under Family Assistance Law, including long day care, family day care, in-home care, centre-based day care and outside school hours care services, are eligible and can apply for their employees.

To be eligible for a grant the employee must be:

  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia or hold a valid work visa (including student visa) allowing employment in the ECEC sector; and
  • a contact worker - an educator who is part of the adult to child ratio at a Service or who provides direct early childhood education and care, or supervision for children in other care types, such as IHC or FDC; or
    a non-contact worker – a director or educational leader who provides direct support, early childhood education and care, or supervision for children; and
  • a full-time, part-time, or casual employee who has worked more than 40 hours overall in the preceding three months with that Service.

The Professional Development – National Child Safety Training grant provides support to ECEC educators, early childhood teachers and directors with five hours of time to complete the national child safety training.

The Infrastructure for Multicultural Communities grant opportunity provides total funding of up to $41.6 million (GST exclusive) for construction, upgrade or extension of infrastructure. You can apply for one of 3 streams of grant funding based on the type of infrastructure project and amount of grant funding you require for the project.

The grant opportunity is comprised of 2 funding opportunities, called batches. You can apply for funding in one batch.

  • Batch 1 opens on 7 April 2026 and closes on 18 May 2026.
  • Batch 2 opens on 18 May 2026 and closes on 12 November 2026.

The following groups and projects will be prioritised for funding:

  • new and emerging multicultural communities, as defined below
  • projects focussed on achieving positive outcomes for multicultural women, multicultural LGBTIQA+ community members, and multicultural people with a disability.

Co-contributions are required towards the value of your project and the minimum amount of co funding is determined by whether you are applying as a priority group/project or other.

The objectives of the grant opportunity are to:

  • deliver physical infrastructure to support multicultural communities connect and commune in a designated physical environment
  • provide co-funding to deliver community-focussed infrastructure and amenities
  • provide infrastructure and amenities that benefit the wider multicultural community by improving equity and social inclusion.

To be eligible, you must be:

  • a not-for-profit organisation
  • a legal entity with the capacity to enter into a legally binding grant agreement with the Commonwealth; and
  • one of the following entity types:
    • Company
    • Cooperative
    • Incorporated Association
    • Indigenous Corporation
    • Statutory Entity.

If you are applying as a Trustee on behalf of a Trust, the Trustee must be one of the eligible entity types as listed above.

The SEAMRPS Grant Program will facilitate trade in professional services between Australia and Southeast Asia by supporting Australian professional service accreditation, licensing and registration bodies to negotiate mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) with their Southeast Asian counterparts. MRAs make it easier for professionals to practice overseas by recognising equivalent qualifications and licensing standards between jurisdictions.

The SEAMRPS Grant Program will run over two financial years from 2024-25 to 2025-26, terminating 30 June 2026. The first grant round has been completed. A second grant round is being launched, as available funding was not fully exhausted in the initial round.

Objective and intended Outcome

Objective - the key objective of the program is to liberalise and facilitate the professional services trade between Australia and Southeast Asia and contribute to closer economic integration.

Intended outcome - the intended outcome of the program is to enable Australian professional service accreditation, licensing and registration bodies to negotiate mutual recognition of professional qualifications, licensing and registration with their Southeast Asian counterparts.

Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) Grants provide funding to support short-term (up to 3 years), industry-led research collaborations.

Projects must:

  • develop a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver real outcomes
  • benefit small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

You can use the funding to cover costs directly related to your project including:

  • new research
  • proof of concept activities
  • pre-commercialisation of research outcomes
  • industry-focused education and training activities
  • conferences, workshops, symposia related to the joint research
  • information sharing and communications related to the research.

This is not a complete list and other costs may also be eligible.

There is no specific amount of funding allocated to each CRC-P round. The number of CRC Projects funded in each selection round depends on the applications received and available Program funding.

Applicants must at least match the amount of grant funding sought through cash and/or in-kind contributions.

To be eligible as a lead applicant you must:

  • be an SME
  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST)
  • be incorporated in Australia and a trading corporation.

Your trading activities must be either:

  • enough to be called a trading corporation
  • a major, not minor, part of your overall activity.

Project partners must include:

  • a lead applicant which is an Australian industry entity SME
  • a second Australian industry organisation of any size
  • 1 Australian research organisation.

The lead SME organisation must submit the application form.

Skip Ahead is a joint initiative of Screen Australia and YouTube Australia. Since 2014, over the course of nine funding rounds, Skip Ahead has supported 47 YouTube content creators and their projects to develop their skills and support them to work towards sustainable careers.

Skip Ahead is open to both documentary and scripted narrative projects from Australian content creators where the producers and creators of the content maintain and retain control of self-distributing the work and taking it to audience on YouTube or YouTube Kids. 

Skip Ahead aims to:

  • support a new generation of online/direct-to-audience storytellers and IP creators to expand their vision and ambition;

  • cultivate original Australian documentary or scripted narrative content made specifically for local and global online audiences; and,
  • ensure the storytellers and stories being told reflect the diversity of people and experiences from around Australia, and promoting their importance - culturally, creatively and economically.

Eligible Entities

Applicants can apply as a company or in certain circumstances, an individual* (either alone or as part of a team). To be eligible, the applicant must: 

  • be an incorporated company carrying on business in Australia, with its central management and control in Australia;

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN);

  • be registered for the purposes of GST if required by law;

  • control the rights necessary to carry out the project, meaning that it must have clear chain of title and must generally be party to any underlying rights agreements;

  • maintain and retain control of self-distributing the project and taking it to audience on YouTube or YouTube Kids; and

  • be the original content creator or team responsible for one of the following:

  • a current YouTube channel with at least 25,000 subscribers; OR

  • a maximum of two current YouTube channels with a combined subscriber base of 40,000; OR

  • a YouTube video which has achieved a minimum of 1 million views on a Youtube channel which has a subscriber base of at least 10,000.

Applicants must meet at least one of the requirements listed above to be eligible. 

*Applications will be accepted from eligible individuals (sole traders) that are Australian citizens or permanent residents (holding a permanent visa), who are over the age of 18 and have an ABN. However, if successful, the applicant must incorporate as a company before contracting with Screen Australia for production funding. 

Genuine collaborations between a YouTube content creator(s) and established producers, production companies and/or entertainment properties are encouraged and may strengthen an application.

Project Eligibility

The project that is the subject of the application must:

  • be for a scripted narrative project of any genre or documentary;

  • be intended to be uploaded to YouTube and/or YouTube Kids;

  • not be a ‘How to...’ or lifestyle program (including travel and cooking) or reality;

  • not have entered pre-production or production prior to the conclusion of the workshop dates; and,

  • not be an advertorial or intended primarily as advertising or marketing material.

The Event Development stream supports events that have previously received the maximum funding permitted through the Flagship Event stream and can present a comprehensive strategy for future growth that includes the continued development of its tourism potential to drive overnight visitation to the event.

The Event Development stream will offer one-off grants of up to $50,000 (ex GST) to events in Regional NSW to support key strategic growth initiatives that will have a direct impact on increasing overnight visitation to the event. A clear strategic rationale will be required for all initiatives together with a justification for the amount requested.

Types of projects funded under this grant

The Event Development stream provides funding to support initiatives that will have a direct impact on increasing overnight visitation to the event. A clear strategic rationale will be required for all initiatives. Activities that may be eligible for funding include:

  • Promotional activities with a measurable overnight visitation outcome (e.g. promotions with a unique call to action)
  • Cooperative marketing activities with the tourism industry (e.g. the development and promotion of packages to the event that include accommodation or access to other tourist attractions)
  • Costs associated with implementing robust visitor research methodologies
  • Infrastructure costs associated with encouraging extended stays (e.g. additional hire costs to extend the event an extra day)
  • Costs associated with the delivery of an improved visitor experience (e.g. grandstands, information services, facilities)
  • Costs associated with developing broader accommodation options or the delivery of temporary accommodation (e.g. shuttle buses to neighbouring towns, implementation of home hosting programs, creation of temporary camping grounds)
  • Consultancy fees for marketing, PR, digital or event management specialists provided there are clear and measurable outcomes that demonstrate an improvement on existing activities.

Event Development funding is not intended to replace previous or other event funding. Grants funds must be expended on the initiatives described in the application.

The Project supports initiatives that provide sustainable, tangible and long-term benefits with positive outcomes for Australian rural, regional and remote communities. In turn this builds capacity, longevity, liveability and connection in the regions in which we operate.

Based on six distinct pillars, the project offers a total of 12 grants, with two tiers of funding at $10,000 and $20,000 per grant.

Each application must align to one of the following pillars.

  • Regional skills & workforce development
    For initiatives that build long-term skills, learning pathways and career opportunities, strengthening the future regional workforce.
  • Environmental awareness
    For initiatives that enhance resource efficiency, reduce waste, restore natural environments through sustainable land and water management.
  • Innovation
    For initiatives that introduce new technologies, systems or training that strengthen agricultural productivity, foster ag tech learning and adoption.
  • Healthy bodies and minds
    For initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and minds, raising awareness and support for mental health and/or long-term health outcomes.
  • Encouraging diversity
    For initiatives that promote belonging, inclusivity, cultural participation, and equitable access, enabling regional communities to thrive.
  • Safety first
    For initiatives that strengthen safety, emergency response capability, through essential training, equipment, infrastructure or preparedness programs.

In addition to the six pillars above, there will be two People's Choice grants, for a maximum of $10,000 each. This open criteria grant will be voted for by Elders employees.

Nominating is free. You can nominate yourself, or you can nominate someone you know who should be recognised for their work to restore, enhance and protect the natural environment in their community. 

Nominating is easy. If you know an individual, group or organisation in your community making a difference to the environment and sustainable land or water use, nominate them for a Landcare Award.

The winners of the nine national Landcare Award categories in each State or Territory will advance as finalists to the 2027 National Landcare Awards.

The National Schools Grant program is designed to help schools facilitate AFL programs. It aims to:

  • Equip and empower schools to run quality AFL programs

CRT Cover: Full day ($450) and half day ($250) CRT Cover relief grants available to allow teachers to either attend an AFL Professional Learning session or competition day.

Uniform/Apparel: Subsidy of $500 available to help cover the cost of a new set of guernseys/jumpers for school teams, and the purchase of appropriate playing uniforms that are made specifically for girls.

Event Attendance Support: $300 per team, per competition, to support teams to participate in competition or event days.

Goal Post Padding: Subsidy of $500 available to help cover the cost of goal post padding for school oval goal posts.

'AFL Starter' Equipment Pack: Base-level AFL equipment pack available to both primary and secondary schools.

The NSW Government has established the ARC - Community Participation Stream 2, with funding of up to $25 million available to increase liveability and social cohesion of communities through greater participation in community activities.

The objective of the Community Participation Stream is to increase liveability and social cohesion of communities through greater participation in community activities that contribute to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of residents.

Eligible projects that can be supported by a Community Participation grant will increase participation in the type of community activities that contribute to the wellbeing, social or economic participation of residents, to achieve the program objective at 1.3. and can include:

  • new and improved infrastructure and/or activation of under-used assets
  • new or expanded services or programs, that increase access to, or improve the diversity of community activities and cohorts that can participate
  • addressing barriers to participation, improving the amenity of activities with facilities, childcare (creche), increased safety, supervision and/or transport.

Projects must be able to meet the project delivery timeframe listed in the Key Information.

The ATSE Traditional Knowledge Innovation Award celebrates STEM research and development by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples or communities which is based on, or significantly incorporates or builds on, Traditional Knowledge. The Award acknowledges and recognises an individual, team, community, or organisation respectfully and successfully applying Australian Traditional Knowledge in contemporary innovation contexts.

The winning nominee will receive a cash prize and medal.

The Award criteria are:

  • Traditional Knowledge and Indigenous innovation: The nominee demonstrates achievement of excellence or impact in any STEM field by incorporating, applying or innovating Traditional Knowledge to address a contemporary issue, problem or challenge. This may include (but is not limited to) academic research, applied research or practice.
  • Application of the Traditional Knowledge innovation: The work or innovation of the nominee has achieved or has a clearly articulated a likely path to achieve, success in translation from Traditional Knowledge (knowing) to contemporary practical application (being, doing) within a STEM setting. Contemporary practical application may, but does not have to, include pathways to commercialisation. The work or innovation of the nominee has potential to improve or has improved understanding and awareness of Traditional Knowledge and its modern value.
  • Ways of working: The nominee builds meaningful, trusting, respectful and equitable relationships, through the process of sharing and weaving Traditional Knowledge with modern knowledge practices. The work or innovation of the nominee has positive impact and actual or anticipated benefit for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or communities. This may include, but is not limited to, intellectual property ownership, royalties/commissions/other payments, community health and wealth-building, improved opportunities for educational and career advancement.

 The award is open to: 

  • An individual, team (pair or small group), community, organisation (the ‘nominee’) who are Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
  • If the work is in collaboration as part of a respectful partnership with another, or non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, individual, team, community or organisation, then that collaborative partner may become a co-applicant. No more than one co-applicant is permitted.
  • Who demonstrates excellence, innovation and impact in any STEM field where they have applied Traditional Knowledge in a modern innovation context.
  • And demonstrates that they have advanced the understanding and awareness of Traditional Knowledge through modern innovation.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nominees are required to attest to the authenticity of the Traditional Knowledge, including, where possible, identifying the Peoples who are Traditional Custodians, and the moral and intellectual right of the individual, team community, or organisation to build on and apply the Traditional Knowledge.

One award is available per year to an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individual, team (pair or small group), community, organisation, for up to one nominee who may or may not have a co-applicant. Co-applicants will be recognised as award winners but will not receive any medal or financial award. No individual, team, community, or organisation can receive more than one ATSE Award in any one year.
