The Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) is a dedicated $10 billion investment by the Australian Government to improve housing outcomes for Australians.

Through the HAFF, Housing Australia is working in partnership with all levels of government and the community housing, development and finance sectors to support the delivery of 20,000 new social homes and 20,000 new affordable homes across Australia over five years from 2024.

Through the HAFF, Housing Australia provides loans and grants for projects that increase the supply of social and affordable housing and address acute housing needs across Australia, including regional, rural and remote areas.

Round 3 will support the delivery of 21,350 well‑located, high‑quality homes that provide value for money and long‑term community benefit.  

Priorities include:

• Closing the gap: Support more homes being owned by First Nations led organisations with $600m ringfenced funding and a dedicated funding stream. In addition, 10% of all social housing across relevant funding streams must be allocated to First Nations households
• Keys in doors: Delivery certainty targeting support to homes that will be delivered in a timely way, seeking rolling completions from 2027 and all dwellings complete by June 2029
• Geographic distribution: Reach a minimum of 1,200 homes in each state and territory, with strong regional representation
• Well‑located homes: Fund well-located projects that improve liveability, responding to acute housing needs
• Enduring community value: Support proposals that demonstrate value for money and create long-term community value through Community Housing Providers and other eligible funding recipients
• Impactful partnerships: Encouraging collaboration across investors, developers, builders and delivery partners to maximise outcomes.

Eligible Funding Recipients for Round 3 include: 

1. Community Housing Providers
2. Charities with a primary purpose of improving housing outcomes for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people
3. Charities with a primary purpose of improving housing outcomes for former members of the Australian Defence Force
4. Charities with a primary purpose of improving housing outcomes for members of the Australian Defence Force
5. State and Territory governments
6. Local governments.

Australia Pacific QBE Foundation local grants are a way for us to provide meaningful support for community initiatives addressing specific areas of need.

To be eligible for a QBE Foundation local grant, the organisation:

• Must be a registered ‘not-for-profit’ (or non-profit) with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC)
• Must have Australian Tax Office endorsement of DGR 1 or 2 status
• Must not be affiliated with a political party or union, or take an overtly political stance in the focus of their work
• May have a religious basis, but any program or initiative supported by QBE must not incorporate religious teaching into the delivery of the program or initiative
• Must be based in Australia, but initiatives working in Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Fiji and Solomon Islands will be considered.

Note: Australia Pacific QBE Foundation charity partners and 2025 local grant recipients are not eligible to apply.

Application suitability and alignment

• Only applications working to address issues in our local grant categories will be considered. You will need to clearly demonstrate the relevance of your initiative to the category, so please consider this before applying
• You can only apply once per project or initiative. Please do not submit multiple applications for the same project or initiative across different categories
• QBE Foundation local grants are intended for high impact community initiatives. Requests for funding for "business as usual" activities will be considered less favourably than specific initiatives
• We understand that some initiatives require support from multiple funders. If this is the case, please outline clearly in your application where other funding is coming from, any funding expected in the future or due to end in the coming 12 months, and how you plan to report on the QBE Foundation portion of the total funding
• The organisation must be based in Australia, but initiatives working in Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Fiji and Solomon Islands will be considered.

The Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) Governance, Resilience, Opportunities and Workforce (GROW) Grant Program aims to encourage sustainable growth and support building capacity of the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector.

The objectives of the grant are to:

- Strengthen workforce capability

• Support ACCOs to enhance workforce skills and capacity.
• Build leadership capacity within Aboriginal organisations to support succession planning and career pathways.

- Enhance governance and strategic partnerships

• Improve governance practices that reflect Aboriginal values and community accountability.
• Foster strategic partnerships that support collaboration, shared learning, and sustainability

- Support business strategy and financial sustainability

• Enable ACCOs to strengthen business planning, financial management, and revenue diversification.
• Build resilience and adaptability in response to changing funding environments and community needs.

- Improve data capability and outcomes measurement

• Support ACCOs to collect, analyse, and use data to demonstrate outcomes, inform decision-making, and advocate for community needs.

To be eligible to apply for the grant program you must be:

• a not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) in NSW as set out in the Clause 44 of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community control is an act of self-determination. Under this Agreement, an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled Organisation delivers services, including land and resource management that builds the strength and empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and people and is:

• incorporated under relevant legislation and not-for-profit
• controlled and operated by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
• connected to the community, or communities, in which they deliver the services
• governed by a majority Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander governing body.
• delivering or wanting to deliver programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families in NSW
• have an Australian Business Number and be registered for GST

The Screenrights Cultural Fund makes a difference by supporting people with exciting and innovative new initiatives that foster the creation and appreciation of screen content in Australia and New Zealand. The 2026 total funding pool is $300,000.

The 2026 Screenrights Cultural Fund is placing a strong emphasis on supporting innovators who are expanding, improving, and accelerating learning outcomes through the creative use of screen stories. Applications are welcomed from a wide range of initiatives. This may include developing interactive learning tools and innovative curriculum content, building mentorship platforms, and screen-based projects that foster professional growth and community learning.

The National NAIDOC Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions and excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across ten (10) award categories, including art, culture, education and training, sport, environment and leadership.

Eligibility

• Nominee must be 18+ and a resident of Australia at time of nomination.
• Nominee must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (descent, identity, and community acceptance).
• Age-specific categories: Youth (18–25); Elder & Lifetime Achievement (60+).
• Previous winners cannot be nominated for the same category within 10 years but may be nominated for others.
• Groups, businesses, and organisations can be nominated for Creative Talent, Caring for Country & Culture, Education, and Innovation.
• Nominator must be 18+ at time of nomination.

The Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants will recognise applicants who embody qualities that make an exceptional plumber. An independent judging panel will be looking for applicants who are passionate about what they do, how they’ve overcome challenges in their career to get where they are now, and how they contribute to their local community.

This year there are 25 grants on offer, each valued at $3,000. Each grant includes $2,000 to go towards TAFE/RTO fees and textbooks, and a $1,000 tool voucher to help build your toolbox.

To be eligible, you must be an apprentice plumber or gas fitter in Australia, either current or starting in 2026*.

*Grant recipients from previous years are not eligible to enter. If you have previously entered but were unsuccessful, you are still eligible to enter in 2026.

The Community Led Climate Solutions grant program supports not-for-profit organisations across remote, rural and regional Australia to drive local climate solutions that reduce emissions through education, engagement and action on:

• Clean energy;
• Circular economies;
• Decarbonisation;
• Sustainable agriculture and food systems;
• Biodiverse ecosystems; or
• Just transitions.

Community Led Climate Solutions Projects must support remote, rural and regional communities to act locally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help address the impacts of climate change for positive and sustainable environmental, social and economic outcomes.

Grants up to $20,000 are available for a broad range of community-led initiatives that must achieve at least one of the following objectives:

• Drive engagement, education and leadership in remote, rural and regional climate solutions;
• Activate locally-led opportunities to advance: the clean energy transition, climate adaptation, decarbonisation, or circular economies; or
• Support just transitions to clean energy economies to help communities thrive.

Project activity supported may include:

• Community education and engagement in opportunities and benefits of innovative climate solutions, such as clean energy, energy efficiency and circular economy practices;
• Community engagement in the planning and delivery of just transitions to maximise opportunities for local communities and First Nations peoples;
• Decarbonisation and transitions to clean energy production, storage or usage that embeds community decision making and asset ownership, or creates local jobs, or addresses equity, inclusion or affordability;
• Climate change adaptation that intersects with health, preparedness, resilience or addresses equity, inclusion or affordability;
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land and sea management practices supporting climate solutions;
• Protection, restoration and regenerative practices for land and sea supporting climate solutions;
• Sustainable agriculture and food production delivering climate solutions that embed community decision making and asset ownership, or create local jobs, or addresses equity, inclusion or affordability; and
• Reducing, reusing and recycling waste, and implementing circular economy activities.

Aboriginal Affairs NSW supports the holding of events and activities in NSW to celebrate the 2026 NAIDOC week (5 July 2026 to 12 July 2026) that

• Celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and achievements
• Align with the theme of NAIDOC Week in 2026, 50 Years of Deadly
• Promote a greater awareness and understanding of Aboriginal histories and/or cultures within the broader local or regional community

Who can apply

You must deliver services to Aboriginal communities in NSW and be a not-for-profit organisation that is one of the following categories:

• An Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) 

• An unincorporated Aboriginal group that has entered into an agreement with an eligible organisation to auspice the funding   

• A not-for-profit organisation incorporated under the relevant State or Federal legislation and able to demonstrate the delivery of culturally safe projects in collaboration with Aboriginal organisations and/or communities   

The Music Australia Export Development Fund is a bold partnership between the Australian Government and the Australian music industry – a matched funding initiative, designed to provide financial support to a diverse range of Australian artists.   

The program supports emerging, breakthrough and established acts and is available for Australian citizens or permanent residents who are practising contemporary music artists. This includes solo artists, instrumentalists, bands, ensembles, electronic artists, producers, songwriters and composers. 

The International Market and Audience Development fund (Category 3) is designed to support activity that includes international promotional and content creation activities with matched funding of $2,000 to $10,000. 

The Music Australia Export Development Fund is a bold partnership between the Australian Government and the Australian music industry – a matched funding initiative, designed to provide financial support to a diverse range of Australian artists.   

The program supports emerging, breakthrough and established acts and is available for Australian citizens or permanent residents who are practising contemporary music artists. This includes solo artists, instrumentalists, bands, ensembles, electronic artists, producers, songwriters and composers. 

The International Professional and Artistic Development fund (Category 2) supports international professional development activity with matched funding of $3,000 to $15,000. 

The Music Australia Export Development Fund is a bold partnership between the Australian Government and the Australian music industry – a matched funding initiative, designed to provide financial support to a diverse range of Australian artists.   

The program supports emerging, breakthrough and established acts and is available for Australian citizens or permanent residents who are practising contemporary music artists. This includes solo artists, instrumentalists, bands, ensembles, electronic artists, producers, songwriters and composers. 

The International Performance and Touring fund (Category 1) supports international touring and showcase activity, with matched funding of $5,000 to $75,000. 

The Steve Waugh Foundation supports children and young adults aged 0-25 years who have a rare disease with a prevalence of at least 2:100,000.

The Foundation will consider funding -

• Equipment
• Mobility Aids
• Communication Devices
• Therapy
• Treatment
• Some minor house renovations
• Items that improve the quality of life for the applicant and their family

To be eligible to apply:   

• You must be an Australian Citizen or an Australian permanent resident of at least five years to gain assistance from the Foundation and;
• Have a recognised rare disease as identified on ORPHANET: www.orpha.net, or if not recognised your medical specialist must confirm the disease is rare
• Have an Australian Medicare card
• Have already made an application for government funding assistance for the requested item, eg the NDIS
• The rare disease has been formally and officially diagnosed by a Paediatrician or other Medical Specialist
• You have and can provide evidence of the diagnosis of the rare disease signed off by a Paediatrician or other medical specialist
• You have and can provide medical, health and other documentation or support material required as part of your application

Note: Applications submitted outside these dates can be carried forward for review in the following Grant Round but are unable to be assessed outside these dates. The Online Application and all required supporting documentation must be submitted on time to complete the Grant Application.

The Honda Foundation is funded by contributions from Honda Australia, private donors and 90 Centres across the country. For every new Honda vehicle sold in Australia, the Honda Centre donates $10, Honda Australia donates $20 taking the total donation to $30. More than $14 million has so far been donated to hundreds of very worthy causes, including empowering disadvantaged Australians, providing relief for victims of natural disasters and supporting the development of new technologies and research to fight disease.

The Honda Foundation acts as a charitable trust, providing financial assistance to charities and organisations doing amazing work across a range of social and environmental issues. These include:

• Supporting the disadvantaged, disabled or those suffering from illness
• Relief for victims of natural disasters
• Promotion of innovation and new technologies

The Honda Foundation also provides a 12-month Loan Vehicle Program which includes registration, insurance and all servicing costs, and is capped at 20 loan vehicles at any one time.
