Regional Arts Fund - Project Grants - 2026 Grant Closes: 17th of August 2026 - 11:59 pm Value: Up to $30,000 Run By: Regional Arts NSW Further Information: https://regionalartsnsw.com.au/regional-arts-fund/

The Regional Arts Fund is an ongoing program that provides approximately $6 million per year to support artists and communities in regional and remote areas. The Regional Arts Fund is part of the Australian Government’s Arts and Cultural Development Program that supports participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture through developing and supporting cultural expression.

The Regional Arts Fund aligns with Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place, the Australian Government’s five-year plan to renew Australia’s arts, entertainment, and cultural sector. Revive recognises that regional and remote arts practice is critical to a vibrant national arts sector that reflects Australia’s depth and diversity. A thriving cultural and creative sector is also crucial to supporting Australia’s regional audiences, communities and local economies. A key initiative in Revive is increased support of $8.5 million over four years from 2023-24 for the Regional Arts Fund.

Funds can be used to:

  • encourage and support sustainable economic, social and cultural development in regional communities;
  • develop partnerships and networks which leverage support for projects and encourage ongoing collaboration;
  • develop audiences and broaden community engagement with the arts; and
  • increase employment, professional development opportunities and profile of regional and remote artists.

Quick Response Grants Grant Value: Up to $5,000 Run By: Regional Arts NSW Further Information: https://regionalartsnsw.com.au/quick-response-grants/

Quick Response Grants are available on a monthly basis from February to November, with all applications being competitively assessed at the end of each month. The grant amounts vary, with individuals able to apply for up to $3000 and organisations up to $5000, though there is no minimum grant amount. It’s important to note that there is a limited funding pool, so accurate budgeting is crucial to ensure you are only applying for the amount you truly need.

These grants are designed to assist with urgent needs that may arise unexpectedly and are not covered by other funding rounds. This includes opportunities such as professional development, skills development, and small projects that require immediate attention.

Projects funded by the Quick Response Grants must begin within 2–12 weeks of the closing date of the round in which the application is made. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their applications no later than 5 business days after the end of each month’s assessment.
