If your business or eligible NFP is experiencing financial hardship and is not eligible for the 2021 JobSaver payment or had previous applications rejected, you can request to have your application reviewed by the Hardship Review Panel.

If your business meets the eligibility criteria, request a call back from a Service NSW Business Concierge.

They will check your eligibility to apply for hardship review before you submit your application.

Applications for hardship reviews for the business grant and the micro-business grant will be available from Tuesday 19 October.

JobSaver payment – Large Tourism, Hospitality and Recreation Businesses Grant Closes: Ongoing Value: Up to $500,000 per week based on payroll Run By: Service NSW Further Information: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/jobsaver-payment-large-tourism-hospitality-and-recreation-businesses

Tourism, hospitality or recreation businesses in NSW with an annual turnover over $250 million and up to $1 billion, and you've been impacted by the recent COVID-19 restrictions, you may be eligible for the 2021 COVID-19 JobSaver payment.

JobSaver will provide cash flow support to impacted businesses to help maintain their NSW employee headcount from the day immediately prior to the month they first experienced the required decline in turnover.

Payments will be equivalent to 40% of the weekly payroll cost incurred prior to the start of COVID-19 restrictions on 26 June 2021, with a maximum weekly payment per group of:

  • $300,000 for eligible businesses with an aggregated annual turnover more than $250 million and up to $500 million
  • $500,000 for eligible businesses with an aggregated annual turnover more than $500 million and up to $1 billion.

Fortnightly payments will be backdated to the start of the month in which they first experienced the required decline in turnover on or after the commencement of JobSaver on 18 July 2021.

To be eligible, your business should:

  • be a tourism, hospitality or recreation business – see Attachment D of the JobSaver payment guidelines for the full list of eligible industries
  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have been operating in NSW on 1 June 2021
  • have an aggregated annual turnover of more than $250 million and up to $1 billion
  • maintain your employee headcount from the day immediately prior to the month you first experienced the required decline in turnover while you continue to receive JobSaver payments.

Businesses must demonstrate decline in turnover due to the public health order in line based on their level of aggregated annual turnover:

  • 50% decline for businesses between $250M and $500M
  • 70% decline for businesses between $500M and $1B.

Bushfire Cleanup Program Grant Closes: Unknown Value: Physical Works Run By: Service NSW Further Information: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/register-opt-nsw-bushfire-clean

The NSW Government and the Commonwealth are covering the full cost of cleaning up eligible NSW properties that have been destroyed by bushfires since 1 July 2019.

Both insured and uninsured properties used for residential, small business or primary production purposes are eligible for the clean-up program.

The clean-up may include:

  • removal of known hazardous materials, including asbestos
  • removal of materials destroyed by bushfire, and hazardous trees near the destroyed or damaged primary residence or business premises
  • removal of damaged driveways that could impact on the safety of the clean-up
  • with the consent of the building owners, removal of concrete slab foundations.
