Small Business Bushfire Support Grant Grant Closes: Unknown Run By: Service NSW Further Information: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-small-business-bushfire-support-grant

In March 2020 a new $10,000 grant for small business was announced. The grant is for small businesses in selected fire-affected Local Government Areas, as determined by state governments.

To receive the grant, your revenue must have dropped by 40 per cent over a three-month period, compared to the previous year, as a result of the bushfires. You can be directly or indirectly affected by the bushfires. The money can be spent on expenses such as salaries, wages, utilities, fuel and/or financial advice.

The Creative Kids Rebate can be put towards the cost of registration, participation or tuition fees for creative and cultural activities such as music lessons, language classes, coding and digital, visual and performing arts.

Bushfire Cleanup Program Grant Closes: Unknown Value: Physical Works Run By: Service NSW Further Information: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/register-opt-nsw-bushfire-clean

The NSW Government and the Commonwealth are covering the full cost of cleaning up eligible NSW properties that have been destroyed by bushfires since 1 July 2019.

Both insured and uninsured properties used for residential, small business or primary production purposes are eligible for the clean-up program.

The clean-up may include:

  • removal of known hazardous materials, including asbestos
  • removal of materials destroyed by bushfire, and hazardous trees near the destroyed or damaged primary residence or business premises
  • removal of damaged driveways that could impact on the safety of the clean-up
  • with the consent of the building owners, removal of concrete slab foundations.
