The Music Australia Export Development Fund is a bold partnership between the Australian Government and the Australian music industry – a matched funding initiative, designed to provide financial support to a diverse range of Australian artists.   

The program supports emerging, breakthrough and established acts and is available for Australian citizens or permanent residents who are practising contemporary music artists. This includes solo artists, instrumentalists, bands, ensembles, electronic artists, producers, songwriters and composers. 

The International Performance and Touring fund (Category 1) supports international touring and showcase activity, with matched funding of $5,000 to $75,000.

The International Market and Audience Development fund (Category 3) is designed to support activity that includes international promotional and content creation activities with matched funding of $2,000 to $10,000. 

The Regional NSW Strategic Partnership Program aims to establish partnerships that strengthen the arts, culture and creative industries in regional NSW through programs for the following focus areas:

• skills development
• organisational capacity building
• audience development
• development of partnerships
• investment sourcing
• creative activation of spaces.

Through partnerships and delivery of targeted programs, the Program will address gaps in the above focus areas for regional NSW creative organisations and workers.

The intended long-term outcomes of the Program are:

• A more connected sector in regional NSW through partnerships
• Development of artists and creative workers’ practices in regional NSW
• Improved or new income streams for organisations
• Increased capacity of organisations to retain staff, deliver impactful programs and enhance community engagement.

The Australian Lions Wellbeing Foundation (ALWF) proudly makes small grants available to help enable the community to take positive action in the area of health and wellbeing.

ALWF invites Expressions of Interest from schools, Lions Clubs and community groups interested in developing projects which help to increase the wellbeing of your community in your local area and are conducted in an alcohol and drug-free space. These projects can target any age group.

Some project suggestions are:

• Youth-friendly social events
• Environmentally conscious activities (recycling, re-use)
• Community gardens, art activities or workshops
• Sponsorship of charitable / awareness raising events (e.g., “a-thons”)
• An event / activity that supports Lions International Mental Health and Wellbeing service initiative

In March 2025, Bunnings launched the Green Shoots Program to contribute $1 million in grants over five years to support Australian and New Zealand growers.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to help growers access confidential business development services from industry experts so they can build and refine their commercial skills. Grant opportunities are also available for financial relief in times of crisis.

Capability Building Grant

A Capability Building Grant gives you access to confidential business development courses delivered by experienced third-party industry experts. The courses are practical and adaptable, so you can focus on what’s most relevant to you and your business. Courses under this first round of funding will be facilitated by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM).

Crisis Relief Grant

Whether it’s an extreme weather event, a bushfire or another unexpected disaster—it can put real strain on your business and team. A Crisis Relief Grant offers you a helping hand when you need it most, providing short-term financial relief during those tough times that materially or severely disrupt your business operations.

The Local Sporting Champions (LSC) program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors who meet any of the below age guidelines.

• Participants turning 13-18 attending state championships
• Participants turning 14-18 attending state or national championships
• Participants turning 15-18 attending state, national, or international championships

If successful, applicants will receive $500-$750 towards the cost of attending their championships.

• Base Grant: $500
• Applicants travelling 800km - 1999km to their nominated championships: + $100
• Applicants travelling internationally or greater than 2000km to their nominated championships: + $200
• Applicants residing in a rural electorate: + $50

The purpose of this funding is to strengthen communities through equitable access to vibrant arts and cultural experiences.

This funding will:

• foster access to innovative and diverse arts and cultural presentations
• enable the presentation of new work by underrepresented artists and groups
• enhance the visibility of new work by NSW artists and arts/cultural workers
• contribute to personal and community wellbeing and economic development
• build vitality of NSW organisations by developing new markets and audiences
• strengthen communities through equitable access to arts and cultural experiences. 

Who can apply

Individuals: 

• Applicants must be 18 years or above 

• Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) or be administered at time of contracting (if successful) 

• Currently living in NSW (minimum12 months) 

Groups or other entities that do not have legal status: 

• The lead applicant must be 18 years or above, have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) or be administered at time of contracting (if successful)  

• Majority of members must currently be located in NSW (for the past 12 months) 

• Unincorporated groups must have a written/ signed agreement between all members outlining roles and responsibilities, and their acceptance of the proposed tour. 

Organisations or entities that do have legal status, such as companies, associations, partnerships, and other incorporated entities. Local Government Authorities (LGA) must be a distinct business unit based in NSW 

• The person submitting the application must have the authority to act on behalf of the organisation/entity 

Note: Preference will be given to NSW-based organisations. It is highly recommended that non-NSW based organisations discuss their application with Create NSW before applying. 

If successful, all applicants must provide details of an active ABN with a nominated bank account or provide details of a funds administrator. 

• Individuals must have a sole trader ABN or private company ABN (only if the individual is the sole director and sole shareholder of the company) or a funds administrator and an account with an Australian financial institution. 

• Groups who are unincorporated, ensembles, unincorporated associations, or other entities that do not have legal status, must be contracted by an individual or a funds administrator on behalf of the group with an account with an Australian financial institution

• Organisations with legal status must have an ABN which matches their entity name and a nominated account with an Australian financial institution. 

Funding requests must:

• not be more than 90% of the tour’s income
• be realistic and supported by the application and budget. 

Through the annual Grassroots Grants the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation aims to distribute approximately $500,000 annually to support eligible charities delivering meaningful outcomes in their local communities throughout the Hunter, Central Coast, Central West, Mid North Coast, New England and Northern Rivers regions of NSW

These grants are designed to support small-scale initiatives that can be delivered within 12 months to create meaningful impact.

Grassroots Grants

Funding for community-led initiatives that support the health and social wellbeing of communities in regional NSW.

• Funding available:  Between $25,000 - $50,000 (inc GST)

Grassroots Volunteer Grant

One standalone grant is available for a charity that relies on volunteers. The recipient will be required to allocate funds towards the volunteer experience through capacity building. This includes training or mentoring, volunteer program development and recruitment, or relevant system enhancements.

• Funding available:  $25,000 (inc GST)

This program funds a range of activities that deliver benefits to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences and communities. Organisations that undertake arts programs, projects, or that provide services to artists, are welcome to apply.

Organisations can propose a single project, a suite of projects or an annual program of activity.

Grants are available from $20,000 to $100,000. Supported activities must last no longer than two years from the proposed start date.

Eligibility

You can only submit one application from your organisation’s account to each closing date for Arts Projects for Organisations.

Only organisations may apply to this category.

Organisations that provide a service to the arts may apply.

International organisations can apply for projects that benefit practicing Australian artists, their work or Australian audiences.

Applications for funding to the First Nations panel must come from First Nations led organisations, with more than half (51%) or Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait membership of its governance board.

Each year, Council provides an opportunity for charities, non-profit organisations and community groups within the Tamworth region to seek a contribution from Council to assist in the provision of their services to our community. This is known as the Annual Donations Program.

The Annual Donations Program objectives are to:

• support charities and community projects, events and activities which occur within the Tamworth Regional Council local government area, and are of benefit to the local community;
• foster or support new services, initiatives and resources which address the needs of the Tamworth regional community;
• improve awareness and use of community services and resources within the Tamworth Regional Council area; and
• encourage increased participation in local community activities within the Tamworth Regional Council area.

Applications are invited from not-for-profit organisations, charities, community groups and organisations located within the Tamworth Regional Council local government area, that provide a service to the Tamworth regional community which may be of a unique nature. Recipients of donation funding in previous years are welcome to reapply.

Organisations are eligible to apply for only one (1) donation per financial year, which is 1 July to 30 June.

Donations will not be made to individuals or organisations which operate on a for-profit (commercial) basis, or to branches of charities which fundraise for projects and activities outside Council’s area of jurisdiction. 

The Local Para Champions (LPC) program provides financial assistance for participants who are attending championships that are specifically for athletes with a disability, and who also meet the following age guidelines.

• Participants turning 13-24 attending state championships
• Participants turning 14-24 attending state or national championships
• Participants turning 15-24 attending state, national, or international championships

In addition to athletes with disability, the LPC program supports coaches, officials and other distinct support roles, such as guides and assistants who enable the sportsperson to participate. These applicants must be aged between 13 – 24 years of age.

If successful, applicants will receive $750-$1000 towards the cost of attending their championships

• Base Grant: $750
• Applicants travelling 800km - 1999km to their nominated championships: + $100
• Applicants travelling internationally or greater than 2000km to their nominated championships: + $200
• Applicants residing in a rural electorate: + $50

Only individuals and groups may apply to this category. You must be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident, and a practicing artist or arts professional.

Applications for funding to the First Nations panel must come from Australian First Nations individuals or groups only.

Only Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people or groups led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can submit applications to the First Nations panel.  

If you apply as a group to the First Nations panel, all members of the group must be First Nations people.  

If you are applying to the First Nations Panel on behalf of a First Nations person or group, the application should, where possible, be made in their name. As this panel only supports First Nations people or groups, if you are considering applying on behalf of a First Nations person or people you must contact Artists Services to discuss the application before applying. 

Funding is for a range of activities, for example:

• professional skills development, including mentoring and residencies
• the creation of new work
• practice based research
• creative development
• experimentation
• collaborations and exchanges
• touring
• festivals
• productions
• exhibitions
• performances
• publishing
• recording
• promotion and marketing
• market development activity
• activities that creatively engage communities.

Activities can take place nationally, internationally, online, or in a combination of in-person and online.

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide funding to support organisations in the design and delivery of national viral hepatitis community-led initiatives and awareness raising campaigns that engage priority populations, including people at higher risk of acquiring viral hepatitis or with limited access to health care. These activities will help reduce stigma and encourage individuals to seek care and reduce hepatitis-related cancer mortality. This includes: 

• $6.9 million from 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2029 for National Hepatitis B projects. 
• $9.0 million 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2029 for National Hepatitis C projects.

The objectives of the grant are: 

• To provide funding to eligible organisations to maintain nationally coordinated activities that improve prevention, testing, diagnosis and treatment outcomes for hepatitis B and C.
• To provide funding to eligible organisations to deliver evidence-based activities that address gaps in hepatitis B and C continuum of care.
• To address goals and targets in the Strategies.

The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are:

• To support harm reduction, public awareness and education, and targeted approaches that increase testing, reduce stigma and discrimination, and strengthen access to culturally safe and appropriate care, particularly among priority populations experiencing inequitable health outcomes.
• To reduce hepatitis-related cancer mortality.
• To support the national elimination of hepatitis B and C as public health challenges in Australia by 2030. 

The purpose of this grant opportunity is designed to strengthen the diagnosis and management of FASD across Australian communities. By providing targeted funding, the program will enhance local capacity for screening, diagnosis, and ongoing monitoring, while fostering greater community awareness of the dangers associated with alcohol consumption during pregnancy or when planning to conceive. 

This grant opportunity will be made available through two (2) streams.

Stream 1: FASD Diagnostic Services 

Stream 2: Innovative Models of Care 

Applicants must nominate one primary stream that best aligns with the core purpose of the activities being proposed. 

Where activities could align to both streams, applicants should select the stream that reflects the main intent and outcomes of the proposal. Funding and reporting requirements will align to the nominated stream.

This grant opportunity supports the delivery of evidence-informed alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment services that help reduce the harms associated with AOD use and support recovery. 

Funding will support withdrawal management, rehabilitation, aftercare and other treatment pathways that improve access to care, respond to individual needs, and strengthen connections to broader health and social supports. 

The grant opportunity aims to improve treatment access and outcomes, reduce harmful AOD use and psychological distress, enhance social inclusion and economic participation, and contribute to long-term reductions in AOD-related harm.
