Deaf Children Australia has been empowering deaf and hard of hearing young people through our Youth Grants Program since 2000. Youth Grants support deaf and hard of hearing young people to pursue their goals, build confidence and take part in opportunities that matter to them.

You can apply for a Youth Grant to help with a personal project in one of four areas:

1. Sport & Recreation – Eg. joining a team, buying equipment, attending a tournament
2. Art & Music – Eg. exhibitions, instruments, lessons, or creative workshops
3. Education – Eg. Support for courses, textbooks, or resources not covered elsewhere
4. Skill Development – Eg. driving lessons
5. DCA’s Newest Additional Category: Science & Music courtesy of the Johnsen Family Youth Grant (up to $1000)  – Eg. technology, engineering, maths, music lessons, instruments 

Your project should help build your confidence, develop your skills, or open new opportunities — while showing how you’re breaking down barriers and setting an example for others.

How it works

• Apply for up to $2,500
• Projects must occur between 1^st July 2026 and 20^th June 2027.
• Payments made after submitting a final project report with receipt

The P&C Transition Grant Program is designed to support approved OOSH services that have transitioned to P&C ownership as a result of the Provider Category Review.

The objectives of the P&C Transition Grant are to:

1. Support approved parent-run OOSH services that are transitioning to P&C ownership.
2. Support P&C's who are taking on responsibility for transitioning OOSH services.
3. Ensure continuing access for NSW Government primary school students to approved OOSH services impacted by the Provider Category Review.

Who can apply

• Applicants must be an approved OOSH Provider
• The application must benefit an approved OOSH service operating in NSW. One application is allowable per service location.
• The approved service must have already transitioned to P&C ownership as a result of the Provider Category Review.
• The approved OOSH provider must have transitioned to P&C as a result of the Provider Category Review.
• Application must be submitted by an authorised officer; a person legally able to enter into agreements on behalf of the approved service provider

Types of projects funded under this grant

Applicants may seek grant funding to reimburse mandatory one-off costs directly associated with the transition to P&C ownership, pending eligibility as detailed in the guidelines.

Four Year Investment for Organisations provides multi-year investment for arts and cultural organisations. This enables organisations to plan with longer-term certainty and increase their capacity to leverage other investment, support and collaborations.

The application process for Four Year Investment requires a pre-application to determine an organisation’s eligibility to apply to the category. If your organisation meets the criteria, your pre-application will be confirmed, and you will be eligible to make an application.

Your organisation must demonstrate a high degree of artistic achievement, along with a compelling four year vision for the 2029–32 period. To be competitive, your organisation will also need to show that it is well governed, effectively managed, and generates diverse income streams.

It is the intention of this category to invest in organisations that are part of the small to medium arts and cultural sector. Large, well-resourced organisations or institutions seeking investment in multi-year arts programs may not be a priority for investment in this category.

Investment for approved organisations will support programs of activity from 1 January 2029 to 31 December 2032.

The minimum eligible grant request for this category is $100,000 per year, over the four year investment period ($400,000 in total). The maximum eligible grant request is $550,000 per year over the four year investment period ($2,200,000 in total). Creative Australia will advise what level of investment your organisation may apply for.

The Foundation aims to improve and protect the quality of life of Australians by providing support to charitable organisations with recognised strengths in medical research and health care, in youth education, and aged care, and in fostering family and community support, based on Christian values.

Sustainable Giving Grants

For $150,000 over three years

Best suited to established or high-potential programs requiring multi-year investment to achieve lasting impact.

Sustainable Giving Grants are designed to support organisations delivering meaningful, long-term impact in their communities.

These grants provide multi-year funding for established programs that address complex or persistent challenges — where consistent support can strengthen outcomes and create lasting change. They will also consider well-designed pilot programs where the need is clearly demonstrated and there is a strong case for future impact.

General Giving Grants

For one-off funding up to $50,000

Best suited to one-off or short-term funding where a single grant can deliver immediate, practical outcomes.

General Giving Grants provide flexible, one-off funding for organisations responding to immediate or emerging community needs.

These grants support practical, on-the-ground projects where funding can make a direct and timely difference — whether that’s delivering food relief, supporting families in crisis, enabling access to essential services, or purchasing critical equipment required for service delivery (such as vehicles, tools, or program resources).

Kick-start funding offers businesses financial incentives from a $5 million allocation to help purchase up to 15 electric vehicles (EVs) and smart charging ports. 

Kick-start funding is suitable for businesses that are interested in trialling a few EVs or for smaller fleets. It is open to any ABN holder that operates an existing fleet in NSW, provided the business meets one of the following requirements: 

• operates an existing fleet of at least 3 vehicles (electric or non-electric) in NSW
• Has licensed taxi drivers with at least 1 taxi in NSW
• Is an individual truck operator, with at least 1 truck in NSW. 

The Regional Arts Fund is an ongoing program that provides approximately $6 million per year to support artists and communities in regional and remote areas. The Regional Arts Fund is part of the Australian Government’s Arts and Cultural Development Program that supports participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture through developing and supporting cultural expression.

The Regional Arts Fund aligns with Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place, the Australian Government’s five-year plan to renew Australia’s arts, entertainment, and cultural sector. Revive recognises that regional and remote arts practice is critical to a vibrant national arts sector that reflects Australia’s depth and diversity. A thriving cultural and creative sector is also crucial to supporting Australia’s regional audiences, communities and local economies. A key initiative in Revive is increased support of $8.5 million over four years from 2023-24 for the Regional Arts Fund.

Funds can be used to:

• encourage and support sustainable economic, social and cultural development in regional communities;
• develop partnerships and networks which leverage support for projects and encourage ongoing collaboration;
• develop audiences and broaden community engagement with the arts; and
• increase employment, professional development opportunities and profile of regional and remote artists.

The In a Good Place program gives small remote, rural and regional communities across Australia, particularly farming communities, the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of community-driven projects, services, activities or initiatives, which clearly and directly focus on strengthening mental health, social / emotional health and wellbeing.

The program supports community-based approaches that:

• are preventative or responsive in nature;
• focus on reducing mental health stigma and promote open discussions about mental health;
• encourage, support and enable people to seek help; and
• reduce social isolation by fostering social participation, inclusion and connection.

There are now two streams within the program:

• Community wellbeing for projects focussing on mental health and wellbeing within remote, rural, and regional communities;
• Farmers and farming communities for projects specifically supporting the mental health and wellbeing of farmers and the communities they live in.

The Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant (EDAEG) adopts a number of strategies to develop and support Aboriginal people through the creation of training and employment opportunities. Promoting diversity, innovation and service responsiveness in the NSW workforce, the Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant subsidises the salary, development and support costs of Aboriginal employees in public service agencies, local government authorities and Aboriginal community controlled organisations.

Key changes for the 2026/27 grant

• Increased funding for the school-based apprenticeship or traineeship, and post-school employment elements.
• Removal of the permanent, ongoing employment element.
• Part qualification element is now only eligible to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs).
• Grant applications will be assessed and a decision will be made once the application round closes.

Grant Elements Overivew

• School-based apprenticeships and traineeships – $12,000 one off payment to support school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.
• Post-school employment – up to $40,000 (Part-time or Full-time Employment Status) to support the continuation of employment for a learner who successfully completed a High School Certificate (Record of School Achievement (RoSA), Year 10) or equivalent requirements from 2022 to the present day.
• Aboriginal adult apprenticeships and traineeships (AAAT) – up to $40,000 to support the creation of employment of an apprenticeship or traineeship. Learners must be a minimum 18 years of age to be eligible.
• Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (only) part qualification reimbursement – up to $5,000 per ACCO staff member. ACCOs may apply for reimbursement of training costs through the EDAEG. The reimbursement supports ACCOs to upskill identified Aboriginal staff members by covering the cost of accredited training or qualifications. ACCOs may seek reimbursement for up to 3 identified Aboriginal staff members, up to a total of $15,000. The training or qualification must be able to be completed within the 2026/2027 financial year – 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
• EDAEG bursary (only for SBAT and post-school elements) – up to $3,000 one off payment to support an approved organisation achieve their program outcomes for either the SBAT or Post School element.

The Local Para Champions (LPC) program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-24 participating in state, national or international championships for athletes with a disability.

If successful, applicants will receive $750-$1000 towards the cost of attending their championships

• Base Grant: $750
• Applicants travelling 800km - 1999km to their nominated championships: + $100
• Applicants travelling internationally or greater than 2000km to their nominated championships: + $200
• Applicants residing in a rural electorate: + $50

Youngcare’s At Home Care Grants (AHCG) provide funding for equipment, home modifications and essential support that is unable to be funded through other means (eg. NDIS). This funding is to both enhance the quality of life for young people with high physical care needs and assist them to remain living in their own home with loved ones.

The grants provide one-off funding of up to $10,000 to help those aged 16-65 with high physical care needs who are living at home, and are at risk of entering inappropriate housing.

Grants are offered nationwide.

The Bunnings Community Grants program provides targeted grants of up to $10,000 to support practical projects that deliver real, local impact. Ensuring funding is directed where it can make the greatest difference, this structure introduces a clear and transparent way for Bunnings to support communities across Australia and New Zealand.

Designed to complement existing store‑led community support, the program focuses on initiatives that strengthen resilience, build capability and respond to genuine community needs.

To be eligible for the Bunnings Community Grants Program, you must be a registered not for profit organisation in Australia (with a valid ABN) or New Zealand (with a valid NZBN). Grants are not available to individuals or international organisations.

To be eligible for the Bunnings Community Grants Program, you must be a registered not for profit organisation in Australia (with a valid ABN) or New Zealand (with a valid NZBN). Grants are not available to individuals or international organisations.

Every year the Sisters of Charity Foundation provides grants of up to $20,000 to incredible community projects and programs that break down social isolation and alleviate the impact of poverty on individuals and families.

Community Grants are aimed at helping groups who already make a huge difference to those in need, so they can have an even bigger impact. These groups might struggle to access funding through other avenues but are meeting very real needs in clever ways.

The grants have been used to support a wide range of people, including those experiencing homelessness, food insecurity or domestic violence, disadvantaged families with babies and children, at-risk youth, people living with disabilities, Indigenous people, older people, and those who have been incarcerated or affected by health issues and their families.

The Foundation favours projects that:

• Provide compassion, hope and immediate, practical assistance.
• Are strongly aligned with one or more Foundation goals: to improve financial wellbeing, promote social inclusion, strengthen wellbeing and stability during times of crisis, foster awareness and understanding, and empower marginalised communities.
• Do not receive significant government and philanthropic support.
• Are not associated with well-established organisations with significant reserves.

This scheme provides subsidies to support the construction or upgrade of bus stop infrastructure. This represents the financial contribution towards improving accessibility and quality of kerbside passenger transport infrastructure in regional areas.

The Scheme aims to maximise benefits to regional passengers through supporting:

• more accessible passenger transport, especially better connections between bus stops and surrounding communities;
•  an increase in the use of passenger transport in regional areas through improved awareness of bus stop locations, kerbside information and improved security; 
•  the development of minor infrastructure to complement passenger service development.
