Digital Games Seed Development Program - 2026 Grant Closes: 23rd of March 2026 - 2:00 pm Value: Up to $30,000 Run By: Screen NSW Further Information: https://www.screen.nsw.gov.au/funding-support/digital-games-seed-development-program

Targeted at emerging and small-medium enterprise digital game creators, the fund will provide a grant of up to $30,000 for early-stage game development.

The funds could also be used to cover scoping technical requirements of a games project, exploring commercial, creative and market potential, as well as pitch materials.

The objectives of the program are to:

  • Support NSW game creators to advance early concept original digital games IPs to reach the next stage of development
  • Assist successful applicants to prepare their project to raise additional finance for full-scale development
  • Encourage sustainable growth for the NSW games sector and a diverse pipeline of game talent in NSW.

All applicants need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • If an individual, the applicant must be a NSW resident (i.e., lived and operated in NSW for at least six months immediately before the application)
  • If a company, the applicant must be incorporated in Australia and taken to be registered in NSW, have their central management and control in Australia and carry out business in Australia
  • Applicants must have an ABN
  • Applicants must not be full-time secondary or tertiary students; or employing students who are currently studying games, or a field related to games. Part-time students are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicants who are an employee of a Federal or state or territory government screen agency are not eligible to apply
  • An applicant cannot be a licensee of a service under the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 (Cth) or a related body corporate of such a licensee (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth))
  • Applicants must have the right to carry out the project, for example, own or have the licenses of any relevant copyright. If the application is based on a third-party underlying work, applicants must have an appropriate option agreement.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate they have the necessary rights if required by providing chain of title documents.
  • Applicants must have a project team member with a key creative credit on at least one game that has been released to the general public e.g. Steam, itch.io
  • There can be only one application for a particular game. If more than one NSW developer is working on the project, a joint application for the game will need to be made.

Eligible games must be:

  • Intended for public release
  • At concept or early-stage development
  • Completely digital.

Eligible games for funding include:

  • Games for entertainment and serious games
  • Games for any platform including console, desktop, tablet, mobile, VR/AR
  • Multi-player and single-player games.

The community native fish stocking grants program provides two dollars in funds for every one dollar in funds offered by community groups to stock native fish (Australian Bass, Murray Cod, Golden Perch) into rivers and dams across NSW.  The objectives of the program are to support local communities in the stocking of high value native fish to protect and enhance our valuable state-wide recreational fisheries. The program also supports the development of regional aquaculture ventures which produce high quality fish stock for release into public waters to benefit recreational fishers.

Who can apply

  • Non-government and not-for-profit groups undertaking approved fish stocking activities in NSW public waters (a group includes a fishing club or other community service organisation).
  • Individuals involved in community fish stocking programs to benefit recreational fisheries.
  • NSW councils and local government agencies.
  • HQAS accredited fish hatcheries (to supply fish for the program).

The Science in Schools grants are designed to support teachers and schools deliver engaging STEM events and activities that align with the National Science Week vision. These grants are available to all Australian schools (preschools to senior secondary) who complete a valid application. All applications and the amounts awarded are judged by their comparative merit.

These grants are intended to be a contribution to the running of a National Science Week activity or event in a school and not the sole means of support.

  • Develop a great idea for a suitable program and work out your costs.
  • Apply online for a small grant up to $500 towards your activity.
  • Conduct a STEM-related activity or event during National Science Week.
  • Focus on the impact STEM has on our lives, our economy, our society and our world.

The Pathways Development Program is a competitive Screen NSW initiative that supports emerging writers with disability to develop original long-form screen projects to a pitch-ready stage.

  • Support the development of up to three long-form projects to a pitch-ready stage per round.
  • Create clear industry pathways for alumni of the Screenability Film Fund and other emerging practitioners from under-represented groups.
  • Strengthen the cultural and economic value of the NSW screen industry by fostering authentic, distinctive voices and stories.

The International Engagement Fund supports Australian artists and creative workers to undertake reciprocal international exchange activities with confirmed international partners. 

A reciprocal exchange is one where all parties participate, share in, and benefit from the activity. The types of reciprocal exchange activities supported through this fund include: creative collaboration and development; cultural exchange and knowledge sharing; labs and practice-exchange models.

While the International Engagement Fund can support projects that incorporate international presentation or promotional type activities, applications should focus on reciprocity, international collaboration, exchange and cross-cultural knowledge sharing. 

Who can apply

  • eligible applicants include Australian artists and creative workers who do not work in contemporary music
  • individuals, groups and organisations (including small businesses) may apply to this category. If you are applying as an individual, you must be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident
  • international organisations can apply for projects that benefit practicing Australian artists or creative workers, their work or Australian audiences.

What can be applied for

Eligible costs include but are not limited to:

  • artist and creative worker fees.
  • flights, accommodation, per diems, ground transport costs
  • travel insurance
  • visas
  • freight or baggage costs
  • production expenses
  • marketing, promotion and project management costs
  • childcare, carer and access costs
  • costs associated with reducing the environmental impact of your activity.

Pace Farm’s Community Grants Program provides funding to support organisations across Australia to bring about positive, lasting change to their communities. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to empower organisations to deliver real, tangible benefits to their communities, building facilities and services to improve the lives of local people across the country.

The grants are open to community groups including charities, sporting clubs, schools, environmental organisations and community groups. 

Projects may include upgrading food charity kitchens, improving sporting clubrooms, delivering education programs to remote groups, providing community health and wellness programs, or assisting a revegetation initiative.

Eligible groups can apply for grants of up to $5,000 a year to fund projects that have positive and measurable benefits for their community and have the potential for long-term impact beyond the grant.

Priority will also be given to projects that align with Pace Farm’s respect for equity and inclusion, driven by its vision of Eggs For Everyone, and to initiatives that make a meaningful difference in areas where Pace Farm operates.

There is a new round of applications every three months.

Real Insurance are looking for submissions that reflect a real desire to improve the quality of school resources and communities. It doesn't have to be great prose, just honest and from the heart, so start thinking about the reasons why and how your nominated school would utilise the Real School Grant.

Each entry that is submitted, must align to one or more of the Real Insurance company values;

  1. Health - clearly provide intent and evidence of planned work(s) that would promote the health of the intended beneficiaries. Where past works have been concluded, please include as evidence in your submission.
  2. Learning & Development - clearly outline the plan of learning or research outcome that would lead to an improved outcome and development.
  3. Information & Technology - provide a justified summary of a current lack of access to information and/or technology (including online/remote learning tools) that would prove highly useful for intended beneficiaries.
  4. Community & Infrastructure - clearly provide intent and evidence of planned work(s) that would promote a positive or improved outcome for the intended beneficiaries. Where past works have been concluded, please include as evidence in your submission.

The purpose of the Investing in Women Funding Program is to fund innovative projects that focus on the three pillars that align with the NSW Women’s Strategy (2023 – 2026).

Projects must involve high-quality activity, engagement, and participation designed with and for one of the focus communities in the NSW Women’s Strategy 2023-2026:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls
  • carers
  • girls and young women living in, or who have lived in, out-of-home care
  • lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer and/or asexual (LGBTIQA+) women and girls
  • older women
  • women and girls experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage
  • women and girls facing homelessness
  • women and girls from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
  • women and girls in contact with the criminal justice system
  • women and girls living in regional, rural, remote and cross-border areas
  • women and girls with disability
  • women and girls with a mental illness
  • women and girls who have a history of, or are currently experiencing, domestic, family or sexual violence
  • women veterans (and the women partners of veterans and service members)
  • young women

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be a legally constituted Australian-based entity. This includes:
    • Incorporated not-for-profit organisations, including community organisations
    • Social enterprises, defined as a business that trades primarily for a defined social purpose consistent with a public and/or community benefit
    • Majority women-owned and managed small businesses
  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have appropriate public liability insurance (minimum of $10 million).
  • address the NSW National Redress Scheme sanctions (included in these guidelines).
  • have an account with an Australian Authorised deposit-taking institution
  • not have outstanding acquittals with Women NSW
  • not be receiving or have received government assistance from another program for the proposed project or a similar project
  • include an applicant contribution (cash or in-kind) of a minimum 10 percent of the total project cost (not 10 percent of the amount of funding sought)
  • provide a budget for their project
  • be a single organisation that will accept responsibility for the delivery of the project if the application is successful.

  • Increased youth engagement and participation in regional NSW community bands.

  • Aboriginal Communities to develop and establish Aboriginal Language activities and projects that benefit their Community or the wider NSW Aboriginal Community,
  • Aboriginal Communities to develop their own resources and deliver projects to support Aboriginal Language growth and nurturing,
  • Aboriginal Communities implement their projects and activities to promote the wider use and appreciation of Aboriginal Language, and
  • Community projects that align with the objectives and functions of the AL Act through financial assistance.
