Regional Business Networking Program

The Board and it’s partners from the 2005 and 2006 projects, will be holding the final series of Regional Business Networking events in the NSW Department of State and Regional Development’s (DSRD) Small Business Month, September 2007.

The localities for the 2007 events are:
Uralla - 3rd September 2007
Glen Innes - 7th September 2007
Werris Creek - 9th September 2007
Boggabri - 22nd September 2007 Boggabri Invitation
The networking nights are an excellent opportunity for businesses to network with other firms and individuals that make up the local economy. The participating government organisations will have a range of informative brochures on services available to local firms on assistance available in setting up or expanding a business. It will allow people to avail themselves of a “one stop shop”, involving both State and Federal Government agencies.

The Board held four very successful Regional Business Networking nights in September 2005 in Moree (8/9/05), Inverell (9/9/05), Guyra (19/9/05) and Gunnedah (21/9/05).

Notable guest speakers gave keynote addresses, which included Brendon Campbell principal of Inverell Pharmacy Mitchell, O'Brien and O'Meara (Moree), Justin Herald founder of Attitude Gear (Inverell) and Tom Potter founder and Managing Director of Eagle Boys, Dial A Pizza (Guyra).

Financial sponsors' representatives from DSRD, AusIndustry, NENWACC, Small Answers Program spoke on their organisations' programs and provided displays with written materials detailing their services.

The program was repeated in September 2006. Events were held in Warialda (6/9/06), Tenterfield (16/9/06), Narrabri (22/9/06) and Quirindi (28/9/06). Guest speakers addressed key small business issues and participants enjoyed the networking opportunities.
