Networking events and the promotional brochure are part of the project

Regional Development Australia – Northern Inland spent several months developing the second edition of the Northern Inland Food & Wine brochure, to ensure a premium marketing resource is available for the region. The contributions to this publication from the food and wine producers has helped in the promotion of the region as a whole. RDANI regularly consults with the food and wine producers and draws on the expertise available as it seeks to address issues on a regional level. The brochure was officially launched around the region in early April 2010. These events attracted strong support from both the producers and members of the community. These brochure are available from the Visitors Information Centres and brochure participants throughout the region.

RDANI’s immediate priorities include:

  • Continued Consultation with industry representatives on a regular basis;
  • As the industry grows RDANI will seek to help meet emerging training & labour needs;
  • Identification and promotional training opportunities in areas such as event management, general business planning, marketing and food handling

RDANI recognises the importance of direct, face-to-face contact with regional producers and retailers. This effective communication and networking potentially assists with an industry issue or to the opportunity to grow to the next level. The main role of RDANI is to effectively facilitate communication between key stakeholders.
