This fund provides business and community access to financial support. The criteria for funding supports local economic outcomes in alignment with the Economic Development Strategy 2020-2040 and Action Plan 2020-2025 (GIHEDS&AP).

Funds may be used to provide financial assistance to:

• A business entity – proven by an Australian Business Number (ABN) and/or Australian Company Name (ACN) proposing to establish or expand an industry, service or business in the LGA; and
• Local Volunteer Community Groups and/or Committees, Not-for-Profits, 355 Committees, Local Consortiums and Local Event Organisers proposing to incubate, activate or grow local initiatives, programs or events.

 

NSW Seniors Festival Grants - 2023

The NSW Seniors Festival Grants program provides $200,000 in funding for community programs and activities that enable older Australians to remain, active, healthy and engaged during the NSW Seniors Festival. Every year the Festival provides hundreds of free and discounted programs and activities to seniors across the state.

Funding is available to support a range of programs and activities, for example:

• Programs offering access to expert advice, information, tools and resources
• Free samples of activities during NSW Seniors Festival
• Opportunities to connect seniors with local organisations and services
• Outdoor and physically active workshops

Applications can be for small scale, multiple and larger activities throughout the NSW Seniors Festival.

Three funding categories are available to distribute $200,000 across NSW:

• Category 1: Up to $1,000 for small-scale local community programs and activities.
• Category 2: $1,001 – $5,000 for larger local community programs and activities.
• Category 3: $5,001 - $10,000 to local government organisations only to hold large scale community and regional  programs and activities.

 

Youth Opportunities - 2023

The Youth Opportunities program provides one-off, time-limited grants between $10,000 and $50,000 to not-for-profit organisations and local councils for youth-led and youth-driven community projects that have a positive youth development focus.

Funded projects from previous rounds have focused on giving young people the opportunity to develop a range of skills, including life skills and healthy behaviours; leadership, communication and teamwork; event management and planning; and providing volunteering opportunities that link young people to further education and training.

Organisations seeking project funding from the Youth Opportunities program are to involve young people at every stage of the project – from identifying the need, through to design, project delivery and final review.

 

ANZ Seeds of Renewal - 2022

The ANZ Seeds of Renewal is a small grants program designed to help build vibrant and sustainable rural communities, to ensure the ongoing prosperity of regional Australia.

The program is focused upon supporting projects that align to one of ANZ’s three focus areas:

• Improving environmental sustainability - Supporting local causes to improve environmental sustainability practices, including initiatives that restore and conserve the natural environment or which contribute to lower carbon emissions, water stewardship and waste minimisation.
• Improving financial wellbeing within the community - Supporting local programs and initiatives that improve financial wellbeing, particularly for under-represented and disadvantaged people in our community, including initiatives that improve economic participation, for example through building financial literacy and vocational skills and providing access to meaningful work.
• Improving access to housing - Initiatives and programs that support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness (including at-risk youth, older people or those escaping domestic violence) or programs that provide housing support and services for people living with disability.
