Indigenous Youth Connection to Culture

This program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to build stronger connections to their culture, families and Elders and in doing so strengthen resilience through identity, self-esteem and connection. It will support Indigenous youth to co-design activities with their Elders, which build leadership skills and promote youth voices. The IYCC anticipates producing a range of short and long-term benefits to individuals and communities, including a reduction in the risk of suicide in participating communities.

Applicants can apply for funding for activities for from 2020/ 2021 to June 2024 and the maximum grant period is 2.5 years.
