This grant supports short-term (up to 3 years), industry-led collaborations between industry, researchers and the community. The program isa proven model for linking researchers with industry to focus on research and development towards use and commercialisation.
Projects must:
- develop a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver real outcomes
- benefit small to medium enterprises (SMEs)
- include education and training activities.
Round 11 will support short-term industry-led collaborative research that focuses on the National Manufacturing Priorities. A small pool of funding will also be available to high quality projects from all industry sectors.
As part of the Australian Government’s Regionalisation and Decentralisation Policy framework, Round 11 also includes dedicated funding for up to two Regional CRC-Ps tailored to prominent industries in regional Australia. Objectives of the Regional CRC-P grants are to support economic activity and diversity, improve innovation and create long-term sustainable jobs in Australia’s regions. Eligibility for this funding is restricted to projects based in regional Australia, with at least one entity relocating from a capital city for the duration of the project. To be successful, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to regional Australia by delivering economic and social benefits to the host community. They expect that strong applications will also identify synergies and overlaps with on-going work of Rural Research and Development Corporations.
You can use the funding to cover costs directly related to your project including:
- new research
- proof of concept activities
- pre-commercialisation of research outcomes
- industry-focused education and training activities
- conferences, workshops, symposia related to the joint research
- information sharing and communications related to the research.
This is not a complete list and other costs may also be eligible.
