Supporting People with Cancer (SPWC) is an annual grant program that funds projects aimed at reducing the impact of cancer and providing better support for people affected by cancer.

It is one of several funding programs that contribute to Cancer Australia’s purpose to minimise the impact of cancer, address disparities, and improve health outcomes of people affected by cancer in Australia, by providing national leadership in cancer control. Funding through SPWC is intended to be complementary and not duplicative to existing Government funding.

In alignment with the strategic objectives of the Australian Cancer Plan, SPWC has a strong focus on achieving equity in cancer outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
