DFSV healing and Recovery Training Scholarships

ClosedGrant Closed: 10th of January 2025 - 5:00 pm Value: Up to $10,000 Run By: Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network Further Information: https://thephn.com.au/support/grants-programs/training-scholarships-available-to-support-dfsv-healing-and-recovery

Training scholarships of up to $10,000 are available to the primary healthcare and Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence (DFSV) workforce to enhance efforts to achieve meaningful recovery for victim-survivors.

The DFSV Healing and Recovery Training Scholarships are designed to develop and enhance the skills of workers supporting adults, young people and children who have experienced the life-impacting trauma of domestic and family violence and child sexual abuse.

Healing and recovery have been identified as crucial components in the response to victims-survivors of DFSV. However, there is a recognised shortage of services and programs focused on this part of the journey.

A total of $100,000 is being made available to eligible organisations operating in and delivering programs in the Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network region. Eligible organisations can apply for:

  • Up to $5,000 (ex GST) per person to cover training course costs, or
  • A maximum of $10,000 (ex GST) for group-based training.

All training must commence in 2025 and be completed by 1 May 2026.
