AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers SPARK program is designed to help social entrepreneurs grow their ideas and create positive social change.

Tomorrow Makers will receive a grant of up to $20,000* along with skills, resources, support from industry experts and mentors and connection with like-minded individuals needed to turn your social impact dreams into a reality.

Program overview:

Tomorrow Makers SPARK program is a fully subsidised 18-week program delivered in partnership with Impact Boom that includes workshops, online learning modules, and ongoing capacity building support from industry experts and mentors. You'll learn key skills such as business modelling, pitching, marketing, and more, while also having the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and build your network.

Eligibility and application:

Anyone with a new social enterprise idea or looking to scale an existing operation can apply for Tomorrow Makers SPARK program.

By completing Tomorrow Makers SPARK program, you'll gain a range of benefits and outcomes, including a solid business model to assist with future funding and support, access to Tomorrow Makers Alumni Community for continued learning and networking, and the chance to showcase your achievements at our awards night in November 2025.

The International Engagement Fund supports Australian artists and creative workers to undertake reciprocal exchange projects with confirmed international partners. This includes creative collaboration and development; cultural exchange and knowledge sharing; labs and practice-exchange models.

Activities can take place in-person, online, or in a combination of in-person and online (hybrid).

International organisations working with Australian artists or creative workers are eligible to apply.

Only one application can be made to this category per closing date.

Applications must meet at least one of Creative Australia’s International Engagement Strategy 2021–2025 priorities:

  • rethink and expand the concept of mobility through testing dynamic engagement models that include digital, hybrid and in-person connection
  • leverage technologies and digital platforms for creation, distribution, networking, and increasing discoverability of Australian work
  • activate borderless thinking to build reciprocal and multilateral partnerships across regions and industries, and leverage co-investment
  • strengthen First Nations exchange that is First Nations-led and self-determined
  • amplify Asia Pacific engagement, and the perspectives of the Asia Pacific diaspora in Australia
  • diversify income and revenue streams to foster sustainable careers and business models by increasing access to markets, information and networks and showcase Australian work to global audiences and influencers
  • foster creative risk-taking, experimentation and innovation in creation, distribution, connection and profile-building
  • centre equity and access and reflect Australia’s diversity
  • embed sustainability through research and investment in best-practice models and frameworks to minimise the sector’s carbon footprint.

Supported activities must last no longer than two years from the proposed start date.

The BioSF is a competitive technology development and commercialisation program to meet the needs of industries and firms with potential to commercialise innovations aligned with the NSW 20-Year R&D Roadmap priority industries or technologies.

The objectives of the BioSF are to:

  • improve commercialisation opportunities for NSW-based start-ups and businesses
  • provide financial support to progress the development of new and innovative devices and systems across the branches of the biological sciences (biotechnology and life sciences), including biomanufacturing, genetic engineering, synthetic biology and agrifood
  • realise benefits from innovation in NSW.

The intended outcomes of the BioSF are to:

  • help promising start-ups develop their technologies, to the point they attract future funding and investment
  • support the growth of innovative global companies headquartered in NSW
  • deliver social, economic, and/or environmental benefits in NSW.

The BioSF targets companies with innovative products/systems within the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) range of 3 – 7 and aims to help them move along the TRL scale, commercialise their idea and enable them to attract large-scale private investment.

To be eligible for the Program applicants must:

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • be registered for the purposes of GST
  • be headquartered in NSW
  • be one of the following:
    • a company incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (including a company limited by guarantee)
    • an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth)
    • an individual or partnership who agrees to form a company under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) so that the Department can enter into a legally binding Deed of Agreement
    • a NSW public research organisation or not-for-profit organisation applying through its appropriate technology transfer office or the Chief Executive Officer (or equivalent) of the organisation that will become a separate entity before entering into a legally binding Deed of Agreement with the NSW Government
  • hold the intellectual property or the rights to commercialise the device/ system/innovation
  • apply for one project per funding round.

The Community Heritage Grants (CHG) program supports community organisations to look after Australian cultural heritage collections. Since 1994, this program has provided more than $8.9 million dollars in funding to over 1650 projects across Australia.

CHG is open to non-profit, incorporated organisations. The program has a strong focus on supporting local groups with limited funding who would benefit from access to professional cultural heritage expertise. Applications from Indigenous and multicultural organisations are encouraged.

The annual round offers cash grants of up to $20,000. The first two stages support organisations to work with heritage practitioners to:

  • Explain the meaning and value of their collections (a significance assessment)
  • Outline the condition of their collections and create a plan to manage it (a preservation needs assessment)

In the third and final stage, organisations can apply for funding to:

  • Undertake conservation and collection management activities as recommended in the preservation needs assessment

Funding is also available for:

  • Collection management training projects

The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Small & Vital stream gives small remote, rural and regional communities across Australia the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities.

Grants up to $10,000 are available for a broad range of grassroots, community-led initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities that strengthen local people, places and climate solutions, with a preference for smaller communities (populations under 15,000).

FRRR’s Small & Vital program supports thriving, resilient, and sustainable remote, rural and regional communities across Australia. In particular, priority will be given to projects that:

  • Support communities to implement generational transition;
  • Invest in outback, remote, and less resourced communities;
  • Build capacity and resourcing for a just and equitable energy transition;
  • Support First Nations-led initiatives that strengthen culture, country, economic participation, and reconciliation.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and assessed quarterly.

The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Prepare & Recover program supports communities in remote, rural and regional communities across Australia to implement initiatives that prevent and prepare for future climate related impacts, or recover from existing disasters in the medium to long-term timeframe, generally one to ten years after the disaster.

The program recognise that remote, rural and regional communities across Australia are vulnerable to climate change and disasters, experience capacity challenges in responding to and preparing for disasters where often existing disadvantage is exacerbated.

Grants up to $25,000 are available for a broad range of initiatives that focus on community-led resilience building in recovery or preparedness to strengthen the capacity and  capability of local people and systems, especially to manage the impact of future disasters. 

Projects that focus on strengthening local inclusion, networks, communication, information sharing, self-organising systems, local decision making, resourcing, tools and support will be prioritised.

Demonstration of project need must reference a specific climate impact or event, either historic or likely to occur in the future.

Australia Pacific QBE Foundation local grants are a way for us to provide meaningful support for community initiatives addressing specific areas of need.

To be eligible for a QBE Foundation local grant, the organisation:

  • Must be a registered ‘not-for-profit’ (or non-profit) with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC)
  • Must have Australian Tax Office endorsement of DGR 1 or 2 status
  • Must not be affiliated with a political party or union, or take an overtly political stance in the focus of their work
  • May have a religious basis, but any program or initiative supported by QBE must not incorporate religious teaching into the delivery of the program or initiative
  • Must be based in Australia, although initiatives working in Australia, New Zealand or the Pacific will be considered

Note: Australia Pacific QBE Foundation charity partners and 2023 local grant recipients are not eligible to apply.

Application suitability and alignment

  • Only applications working to address issues in our local grant categories will be considered. You will need to clearly demonstrate the relevance of your initiative to the category, so please consider this before applying
  • You can only apply once per project or initiative. Please do not submit multiple applications for the same project or initiative across different categories
  • QBE Foundation local grants are intended for high impact community initiatives. Requests for funding for "business as usual" activities will be considered less favourably than specific initiatives
  • We understand that some initiatives require support from multiple funders. If this is the case, please outline clearly in your application where other funding is coming from, any funding expected in the future or due to end in the coming 12 months, and how you plan to report on the QBE Foundation portion of the total funding
  • The organisation must be based in Australia, but initiatives working in Australia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Fiji will be considered

The Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme (RHWIS) aims to attract, recruit, and retain health workers in eligible positions at health services across rural and remote NSW.

The incentive scheme applies to health workers in eligible positions in NSW. So, whether you’re a nurse, midwife, paramedicine, medicine, allied health, administration, or in support and shared services, you could have an incentivised job at a public hospital or health facility.

In addition to standard employment entitlements, an incentive package of up to $20,000 in value depending on the location and the position.

An incentive package may include financial and non-financial incentives such as:

  • a rural or regional health allowance
  • accommodation assistance and help with relocation costs
  • family travel assistance
  • additional personal leave
  • family travel assistance
  • contributions to ongoing professional development

Telstra’s Connected Communities Grant Program will boost support for communities across remote, rural and regional Australia to improve resilience, environmental sustainability and liveability through the power of connection. 

The program offers grants up to $10,000 for not-for-profit community organisations that are providing access to information, technology, education and facilities to support their communities to embrace new technologies and ways of working to build social capital and digital capability.

The program seeks to foster: 

  • Resilient communities that are well prepared and socially connected when disaster strikes with the ability to renew and recover together;
  • Sustainable communities that are diverse and inclusive, planning for the health, wellbeing, and prosperity of their people and the planet; and
  • Liveable communities that have digital capability, and help to equip individuals with the skills to live, learn and work in a digital society.

Each year The Co-Group invites applications from public benevolent institutions (PBIs) who are working at the front line and who are suitable recipients for TCG grants. The potential recipients are reviewed to determine alignment with TCG’s mission and goals. TCG works with each successful recipient on the design of their programs to ensure the recipient and TCG can work together to meet their common goal of improving the lives of people with a disability or who are aged and in distress.

Priority will be given to initiatives that:

  • Relate to the support of people with disability where the NDIS funding does not cover needs.

  • Relate to the support of older care people where the Aged Care funding does not cover needs.

  • Support people who are aged or living with a disability in a home situation and are in need.

Focus areas

  • Community based counselling and home care support

  • Services that enhance quality of life in a home situation

Eligibility

Applicants should be a public benevolent institution (PBI) being a charitable institution whose main purpose is to relieve poverty or distress. Applicants must be registered and recognised by the ACNC and ATO as a subtype of charity.

Grants are intended for community organisations and social enterprises working with the aged or people with a disability in a way that reflects The Co-Group’s priorities and focus areas.

CRC Grants are part of the CRC Program. The CRC Program supports industry, research and the community in 2 ways:

  • CRC Grants – support medium to long term industry-led collaborative research, for up to 10 years.
  • CRC Projects (CRC-P) grants – support short term, industry-led collaborative research, for up to 3 years.

CRC Grants provide funding for collaborations to solve industry identified problems.

CRCs must:

  • be a medium to long-term industry-led collaborative research program
  • aim to solve industry identified problems and improve the competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of Australian industries
  • include an industry-focused education and training program, including a PhD program that builds capability and capacity
  • increase research and development (R&D) capacity in small to medium enterprises (SMEs)
  • encourage industry take up of research

There is no specified limit to funding for each CRC. However, the number of CRC Grants we fund in each selection round depends on the applications received and available funding.

Applicants must at least match the amount of grant funding sought through cash and/or in-kind contributions.

Eligible activities must relate directly to the project and may include:

  • new research
  • proof of concept activities
  • pre-commercialisation of research outcomes
  • industry-focused education and training
  • conferences, workshops and communications
  • collaboration with international organisations providing national benefits to Australia

You can only spend grant funds on expenses outlined in your grant agreement. You can find more information on eligibility in the grant opportunity guidelines.

AbbVie will ONLY consider requests for financial support for initiatives that include:

  • healthcare education events or initiatives such as conferences, symposia or one-off meetings
  • disease awareness activities
  • production of education materials including print and digital content
  • fundraising activities 
  • donations to charities or not-for-profit organisations.

AbbVie will not fund requests for

  • sporting clubs
  • any profit-making entities - all organisations must be not-for profit or charities
  • equipment that may be used for personal and professional reasons such as mobile phones or laptops
  • funding of start-ups or operating costs of entities
  • staff salaries and benefits
  • Healthcare professional honorariums or travel costs. HCPs must apply directly to AbbVie for support through the individual funding process
  • capital, infrastructure or operating expenses such as office equipment, furniture, or facilities modifications.
  • events that are lavish or associated with sporting or recreational activities such as golf days, football matches or musical events.
  • underwriting a commercial business or generate income for a practice or institution.

The NAB Foundation Community Grants program provides funding of up to $25,000 for local projects that help communities withstand and recover from natural disasters.

They award $1.2 million in Community Grants each year across two grant rounds, including $200,000 available in Impact Grants for projects with big potential. These Impact Grants provide a further $25,000 to recipients to maximise the impact they have on their communities.

NAB Foundation Community Grants support community-led projects that relate to the following categories:

  • Training and planning
  • Community Recovery
  • Environment and wildlife
  • Equipment and Infrastructure

NAB Foundation Community Grants are open to:

  • Charities that are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for Profits Commission (ACNC). 
  • Social enterprises (not-for-profit and for-profit) or start-ups with social or environmental impact at the core of their business. 
  • Groups or organisations (not-for-profit and for-profit) that hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and have a charitable purpose. 
  • Local government or government-funded facilities (such as a school or childcare centre) seeking funding for a program that furthers charitable purpose.

Farm Angels provides financial assistance, food hampers, care packs, and mental wellbeing support to primary producers affected by all natural disasters (drought, flood, fire, and plagues) across Australia.

The frequency and severity of natural disasters mean many are at risk of losing their farm or walking away. Farm Angels seeks to reduce this through phone conversations and on farm visits. By supporting these farmers to stay on the land through assistance tailored to their individual needs, Farm Angels contributes to Australia’s regional economies, food security and the social wellbeing of rural communities.
